★Teaching procedures StepⅠ Lead-in
1.Show the Ss "Learning aims" ---To make the Ss know what they'll learn.
2. Show the Ss an emotional test---
---1)To raise the Ss' interests in colours ---2)To get ready for the new lesson. StepⅡ New words and expressions
Show the Ss some black-and-white pictures and ask them to paint the picture. ---1）To teach some new words and expressions.
---2）To give the Ss a general idea about the new lessons. StepⅢ Presentation--different reading skills
1. Predicting(預(yù)測(cè)）--read the title or headings ,guess the main idea.
Task--Read the title of the article and the headings of each part quickly, predict:
1).What is the article about?2).How many kinds of colours are talked about ?What are they? 2.Skimming(略讀)—read quickly to get the key information. Task--Read each part quickly, find out :
1).How many colours are mentioned(提及) in all?2) What are they?
3.Scanning（掃讀）--move eyes quickly to look for specific (特定的）information. Guessing（猜讀)—guess the meaning by its formation(形式，結(jié)構(gòu)）or from the context（上下文）.
Task--move eyes quickly and find specific words ,then read the context and guess their meanings.(P24-B1)
4.Careful reading（細(xì)讀）--read carefully to look for detail(細(xì)節(jié)的）information Task--1)Calm colours: Fill in blanks. 2)Warm colours: Answer some questions. 3)Energetic colours: Task-reading 4) Strong colours： “T or F” questions Step Ⅳ Watch a video
Task--1)Finish the exercises on P24-B2..
2)A colour therapy--Finish the exercises on P25-B3
3) Retelling-How do you feel when you see different colours? What do they represent? Step Ⅴ A talk show
Talk about Ss' favourite colour, using the information learned in the article. Step Ⅵ Fun time
1) Show the Ss some idioms(習(xí)語(yǔ)) about colours, like black tea, white lies... 2)A chant--to make a summary StepⅦ Homework.
1. Revise the article ,remember what different colours represent and how they influence us. 2. Finish the exercises. 3.Try different reading skills after class.
