Teaching Aims:
1.To master the vocabulary about the life on Mars. 1. To learn about the life that living on Mars .
2. To find about the differences between the life on Mars and that on the Earth. 3. To understand the importance of protecting our earth. Key points:

uncomfortable, tasty, specially, compare, rapidly
2. key phrases : more and more crowded and polluted, all over again,
at the speed of, in the form of, compare to/with, connect to/with,
3.key sentences: It is hoped that…
Humans can’t survive without water.
Food would most probably be in the form of pills.
The gravity on Mars is three-eights of that on the Earth. Life on Mars would be interesting as well as challenging.

Present the poster of the film the Wandering Earth in order to lead in the topic---Life on another planet. Present new words: planet 二. Presentation
1. Q: Do you know what is happening to the Earth now.
Show pictures and have students realize the problems of living on the Earth nowadays.
Present new words: increase, crowded, polluted
2. Lead to Reading: We can build a better world on Mars---Moving to Mars.
While-reading: Task 1: Skimming
Skim and answer questions, divide the passage into to 3 parts and get the main idea of each paragraph. Task 2: Read and match
Enjoy the flash and match the words with correct meanings.(B1) Task 3: Scanning
Read Paragraph2-6 and fill in the blanks.
Post-reading
1.Have a debate(辯論) :Do you like the life on Mars? Opinion 1: Like the the life on Mars Opinion 2: Dislike the the life on Mars
3. Discuss in groups with the help of the words on the guidance case. 4. Choose some group leaders to express their ideas. 5. Teacher makes a conclusion:
We should try our best to protect our earth.
We should study hard to get enough knowledge for the research work in the future.
Homework
1. Finish your conversation in Part B on Page49. 2. Finish the exercises in the guidance case.
