1. get to know when and how to use the simple past tense to talk about things.
2. learn to form the simple past tense by adding -ed to regular verbs.
3. learn to form the simple past tense of irregular verbs.
2學情分析
班上學生小學期間已經初步學習過一般過去時,只是小學和初中對學生的掌握要求不同,因此大多數學生學得不扎實,掌握情況差別很大。此次教學課時旨在通過本課時的教學重新幫助全體學生整體習得有關一般過去時的適用情境,句子中動詞的變化,動詞一般過去時形式的規則變化和不規則變化以及動詞規則變化詞尾-ed的發音規律。
3重點難點
To learn the proper past forms of regular verbs and irregular verbs.

4.1第一學時
4.1.1教學活動
活動1【導入】Lead-in
呈現一張關于Millie's day的幻燈片,通過競賽形式,讓學生說說Millie一天的8個具體,活動復習一般現在時,為接下來一般過去時的學習做好鋪墊。
She_______ (get) up at 6:30 a.m.
She _______ (have) breakfast at 7 a.m.
She _______ (go) to school then.
She _______ (have) 4 lessons in the morning.
She _______ (talk) to her classmates at lunchtime.
She_______ (do) homework.
She ______ (take) her dog for a walk after supper .
She ______ (read) some books.
Ask the students: What does Millie do every day?Ask them to stand up to give the answers.
Then give the key words of the student’s answers on the screen.
活動2【講授】Presentation
1. Introduce a special day of Millie to the students:
But she had a bad cold yesterday. She had a headache and a fever. She didn’t want to get up. The doctor told her to take some medicine, drink much warm water and have a good rest. She had to stay at home and couldn’t go to school. She was not happy.
2. Then present the simple past tense by showing a calendar and asking Ss:
What day____ it today? One student answers “is”。Ask again
What day ____it yesterday? Another student answers “was”。Ask again
What day ____ it the day before yesterday? A third student answers “was”。
Generate:一般過去時中be動詞is變化為was
3. Show the Ss three pictures :play basketball、 play the piano、 play computer games. First, ask the Ss to describe the pictures one by one according to the time “every day”. Ask the Ss to use “last weekend” to replace “every day” to talk about the things and then write down the key words:
last weekend: played basketball、 played the piano、 played computer games
Ask the Ss to pay attention to the changes of the verbs.
4. Divide Ss into different groups and discuss the changes because of time and then the teacher help Ss to summarize the concept of the simple past tense: We use the simple past tense to talk about things in the past.
活動3【練習】Practice
展示問題:What happened 10 minutes ago?
分別展示給學生看5張圖片,用一般過去時描述5個動作:唱歌、喝果汁、寫信、跑步、聊天。也采用男女生競賽的方式。
活動4【講授】Presentation
Present the verbs and their forms of the past participles:
walk—walked live---lived cry---cried stop---stopped
規則動詞詞-ed的讀音
清輔音后念 /t/ ;元音、濁輔音后念/d/ ; /t/ /d/ 之后念/id/
說明:
1、清后念/t/ ,即 ed 在清輔音后面念 /t/ ,
例:finished helped passed cooked
2、元、濁后 /d/ ,即 ed 在元音,濁輔音后面念 /d/ ,
例:borrowed enjoyed called moved
3、/t/ /d/ 之后念 /id/ , 即 ed 在 /t/ /d/ 音后面念 /id/
例:wanted shouted needed counted
2. Then help Ss to summarize the rules of changing verbs into the past forms.
規則變化:
直接加ed; 以e結尾的單詞加d;輔音字母加y結尾的單詞去y為i加ed;重讀閉音節,雙寫最后的輔音加ed
不規則變化:
不變; 只變元音字母; 只變輔音字母; 元音字母和輔音字母都發生變化; 其他不規則變化
3.Present the following verbs and ask Ss in groups of two to complete the exercises:

1. Ss learn the rules of the verbs and have a discussion about them.
2. Ask Ss to complete the exercises in Part A on page 62 and
encourage them to ask questions.
3. Ask Ss to complete the exercises in Part B on page 62 and check if they have grasped the rules.
