Step1. 視頻導(dǎo)入，主題預(yù)熱
播放視頻，《Mark’s life in a smart house》讓學(xué)生談一下感受和自己對智能家居的理解。
【設(shè)計意圖】課前環(huán)節(jié)是英語閱讀課中不容忽視的一個環(huán)節(jié)。其目的在于創(chuàng)設(shè)英語學(xué)習(xí)氛圍，激活學(xué)生已有的與主題知識和文化背景相關(guān)的知識，啟發(fā)學(xué)生思維，為隨后開展主題意義的探究作準備。視頻導(dǎo)入，讓學(xué)生直觀感受智能家居和普通家居的區(qū)別。

教師在啟發(fā)學(xué)生思考之后，讓學(xué)生帶著問題，快速閱讀文章的引領(lǐng)段落（主題段落）并指導(dǎo)學(xué)生略讀，找到文章的主題，即智能家居的優(yōu)勢。

【設(shè)計意圖】設(shè)計這個環(huán)節(jié)是為了培養(yǎng)學(xué)生成為獨立、高效的閱讀者。讓學(xué)生學(xué)會處理語篇淺層信息并主動走進語篇實現(xiàn)深度學(xué)習(xí)。通過回答一系列問題，運用和鞏固話題詞匯，了解作者寫作手法，訓(xùn)練學(xué)生邏輯思維能力。同時通過重組語篇信息，內(nèi)化吸收與話題相關(guān)的語言。

Step6. 遷移運用
If you were the designer of the smart home, try to introduce it to the customers with the given information.

Step7. 逐步理解，再次關(guān)注德魯克名言“The best way to predict the future is to create it.”，進一步理解語篇主題意義。
Step8. Homework
If you are able to create a smart device for your home, what will you create?write about your creation.
1. A name indicating the device
2. A general introduction to it.
3. Examples illustrating its new function.
4. The benefits the new device can bring.
