一、教學(xué)內(nèi)容
本課選自人教版新目標(biāo)八年級(jí)(下)第五單元。這是一節(jié)閱讀課,以本一家為主線,
運(yùn)用一般過去時(shí)描述其在一場(chǎng)暴風(fēng)雨當(dāng)中的經(jīng)歷。從整體上看,Section A 首先通過語言輸入及對(duì)話題的討論到對(duì)詞匯、短語等新語言知識(shí)的初步呈現(xiàn),以及運(yùn)用對(duì)話對(duì)Section A所學(xué)內(nèi)容的綜合運(yùn)用,進(jìn)而過渡到語篇閱讀和書面表達(dá)的訓(xùn)練,最終將單元所學(xué)詞匯及語法結(jié)構(gòu)完全融合到閱讀和寫作交流之中,并結(jié)合新出現(xiàn)的語言內(nèi)容進(jìn)一步提高語言表達(dá)能力。
二、 學(xué)情分析
本課教學(xué)對(duì)象是初二年級(jí)學(xué)生,經(jīng)過了初中近兩年的學(xué)習(xí),他們已經(jīng)有一定的詞匯
積累,并具備了基本的閱讀理解能力。本班學(xué)生學(xué)習(xí)英語興趣較濃,學(xué)習(xí)程度相對(duì)較好。學(xué)生在Section A前半部分已經(jīng)基本掌握過去進(jìn)行時(shí)的表達(dá)方法,在篇章中理解和運(yùn)用過去進(jìn)行時(shí)以及描述過去發(fā)生的事情是本課的重點(diǎn),且關(guān)于暴風(fēng)雨的經(jīng)歷學(xué)生在實(shí)際生活中較為缺乏,因此要在教學(xué)中給學(xué)生創(chuàng)設(shè)出情景,鼓勵(lì)他們表達(dá)。 三、教學(xué)目標(biāo): 1.知識(shí)目標(biāo)
a. 學(xué)生能夠熟練掌握教材中的“四會(huì)”單詞、詞組:wind, apart, wood, light, flashlights, candles, matches, die down。
b. 學(xué)生能夠熟悉并正確運(yùn)用過去進(jìn)行時(shí)。 2.能力目標(biāo)
a. 學(xué)生能夠運(yùn)用過去進(jìn)行時(shí)談?wù)撐谋局谐霈F(xiàn)的活動(dòng)
b. 通過閱讀訓(xùn)練,學(xué)生能夠?qū)W會(huì)尋找中心句,利用scanning和skimming的閱讀技巧提取語篇的重點(diǎn)信息。 3.情感目標(biāo)
a. 通過本課的學(xué)習(xí),學(xué)生能夠養(yǎng)成在危難中互幫互助的精神。
四、 教學(xué)重難點(diǎn) 1. 教學(xué)重點(diǎn):
a. 培養(yǎng)學(xué)生在英語閱讀中獲取信息的能力,提高閱讀的效率。 b. 熟悉并運(yùn)用過去進(jìn)行時(shí)。

a. 通過閱讀訓(xùn)練,培養(yǎng)學(xué)生在英語閱讀中獲取信息的能力,提高閱讀的效率。 b. 培養(yǎng)學(xué)生在危難中互助的精神。
五、教學(xué)過程
Step 1. Pre-reading 1. Lead-in
① Students watch a video about a storm in America and answer the questions after the
video.
Q:What’s the weather like? What is the video about?
After students’ answers, the teacher summarizes their answers: It’s windy and cloudy. The weather is bad. It’s about a storm.
② Presentation
Q: What will a storm bring to us?
Students answer the questions with the help of the pictures. There will be a strong wind, and it may break many things apart, there will be no light.

Step 2. Pre-reading 1. Describe the picture.
Show the picture in 3a, students look at the picture and describe the picture. Teacher gives some tips, students can describe the picture from the following aspects: ① the weather → cloudy, bad ② the buildings → fall down ③the rubbish → everywhere ④the windows → broken

2. Make predictions

idea of this new passage through the title and the picture.

①Students look through the passage quickly and match the paragraphs to the main ideas. Para. 1 After the storm

②Students look at the main idea of each paragraph, and summarize the passage is written according to the time order.

a. Students read the first paragraph and fill in the blanks.
Q: What’s the weather like?
① Ben could hear strong winds outside his home in Alabama. ② Black clouds were making the sky very dark. ③ With no light outside, it felt like midnight.
b. ①Students read the second and third paragraph and summarize the activities: Ben’s dad was putting pieces of wood over the windows.
(After students answer the activity of Ben’s dad, teacher shows pictures of ‘ a piece of wood’ and ‘ pieces of wood’, learn the new word of wood, and it’s an uncountable noun.)
Ben’s mom was making sure the flashlights and radio were working. put some candles and matches on the table.
( After students’ answers, teacher shows the pictures of ‘flashlights’ ‘radio’ ‘candles’ and ‘matches’, learn the new words using the pictures. )
Ben was helping his mom make dinner.

1. Listen to the tape of this passage and read after it. 2. Retell the story
Show the outline, help students to retell the story with the help of the outline. One group retell one paragraph, and choose a representative to retell the paragraph.
3. Discussion
Show some pictures of disasters, students answer the following questions: ① What does the writer want to tell us?
② What other things can bring people closer together? ③ How can we help each other in times of difficulties?
Students write down the ways to help others on the card and put them on the blackboard..

本節(jié)閱讀課是八年級(jí)下冊(cè)Unit 5 Section A 的第二課時(shí),是對(duì)Section A第一課時(shí)所學(xué)內(nèi)容的綜合運(yùn)用,主要內(nèi)容為語篇閱讀和口語表達(dá)能力的訓(xùn)練。
本節(jié)課的教學(xué)環(huán)節(jié)分為讀前、讀中、讀后三個(gè)大的環(huán)節(jié)。讀前通過視頻、圖片創(chuàng)設(shè)情境,從簡(jiǎn)單基礎(chǔ)的問題入手,調(diào)動(dòng)學(xué)生的興趣,同時(shí)解決部分新單詞,為學(xué)生讀中環(huán)節(jié)完成閱讀任務(wù)降低了難度。
讀中通過不同形式的任務(wù),按照時(shí)間順序?qū)ξ恼录?xì)節(jié)進(jìn)行理解,滲透了通過跳讀尋找段落主題以及通過細(xì)讀理解文章細(xì)節(jié)的閱讀策略。在策略學(xué)習(xí)的同時(shí),對(duì)語篇內(nèi)容進(jìn)行了梳理,完成了新知識(shí)的學(xué)習(xí)。 讀后回顧文章細(xì)節(jié),借助提綱引導(dǎo)學(xué)生復(fù)述文章。通過兩個(gè)問題完成了對(duì)本課情感目標(biāo)的升華。整節(jié)閱讀課設(shè)計(jì)環(huán)環(huán)相扣,前面的環(huán)節(jié)為后續(xù)環(huán)節(jié)做鋪墊,層層推進(jìn)。 存在的問題:
1. 對(duì)閱讀文章中的新詞匯學(xué)習(xí)設(shè)計(jì)不夠到位,缺乏新意;
2. 讀中環(huán)節(jié)對(duì)文章的細(xì)節(jié)理解過于詳細(xì),重點(diǎn)不夠突出,且活動(dòng)形式拘泥于問題回答,有
些局限;
3. 在學(xué)生回答問題過程中多使用詞組或單詞,未形成完整的句子,教師也未能引導(dǎo)學(xué)生使
用完整的句子來表達(dá)。
