Find out the ways of describing the friends. 2. Ability objectives: Learn to write a passage about one friend.

III. Teaching Procedures Step 1: Lead-in
1) Greeting: Say hello and have a simple self-introduction. 2)Creating a travel situation to meet or know friends.
Step 2: Pre-writing
1) Read some sentences about friends . 2) Put the sentences into two groups: appearance & personality, hobby & ability.
Step 3: While-writing
1) Fill in the blanks to review some words and sentence drills. 2) Match the sentences with A(appearance & personality) or B(hobby & ability). 3) Add some conjunctives to make the passage better. 4) Learn the ways of beginnings: saying, ideas and song words. 5) Discuss in four to get a beginning then share with the classmates. 6) Learn the ways of endings: saying, ideas, song words, wishes and thanks. 7) Show the teacher’s ending. 8) Read the whole example passage. 9) Write a passage about the friend in person.
Step 4: Post-writing
1) Discuss the passage on show in four to find out: fine sentences(好句子) or mistakes (錯誤). 2) Share your ideas about the passage on show. 3) Understand “More friends, bigger world”.
Step5: Summary
Good writing includes:
good structure, right words, fine sentences and beautiful handwriting. Step6: Homework
