一、 設計理念(Design theory)
當前英語新課標要求關注學科育人價值、關注學生思維發展、關注學科核心素養(語言能力、學習能力、思維品質和文化品格)三方面。英語學科教學理念從關注知識和技能,到培養學生的綜合語言運用能力,即語言知識、語言技能、情感態度價值觀、跨文化意識和學習策略五方面,然而,對于學生思維品質和能力的培養重視不夠,教師對于語境創設不充分,對語篇意義關注不夠,尤其是如何運用英語分析問題和解決問題的能力需要更多的關注。為此,本教學設計將圍繞特定主題展開,讓學生在語境中體會重點詞及詞組的用法,并針對主題所體現的社會問題,運用所學語言展開討論,學生在發表觀點的過程中能正確和自發的運用所學語言.
二、 教材分析(analysis of teaching material)
主題語境是Cultural relics(人與社會)。Learning about Language 部分主要是通過啟發學生在真實語境中去發現、歸納和總結、應用,力求鞏固學生對新詞匯的理解和記憶。本著對學生思維品質和能力的培養重視,本設計通過對琥珀屋的回憶以及本土東坡文化的發掘(過去)以及對當下時事的討論,創設語境,仔細篩選本單元重點詞和詞組,具體包括1.in search of 2.amaze 3.less than 4.belong to 5.doubt 6. valuable 7.worth
三、 學情分析(analysis of the students)
本堂課的學生來自高一(8)班,該班學生英語基礎普遍偏差,平均分只有50左右(但有7、8個基礎很不錯的學生),但是他們喜歡輕松或者熟悉的話題,對于當前的熱點也比較關注,該班學生的語言學習興趣較濃,但是不太敢于發表自身的看法。學生熟悉基本的涵義,但缺乏對詞尤其是用法的系統認知和理解,尚且不會運用。針對上述教學內容,我設計了較為輕松的教學內容,選擇學生剛剛才學過的課文內容作為導入,并用他們熟悉的東坡文化、東坡書院、東坡詩詞大會等相關背景知識來進行教學設計,最后通過對儋州舉辦的東坡詩詞背誦大會的新聞進行討論,引導學生以辨證思維發表觀點,同時我稍微降低了教學難度,但是我會盡量讓學生能在聽說讀寫看等方面都有練習。 四、教學目標(Teaching objectives)
(1)語言能力目標:
①學生能正確說出重點詞及詞組的用法:worth ,amaze ,belong to ,less than ,valuable, doubt, in search of
②學生能正確使用上述重點詞及詞組的用法來表達自己的觀點。 (2)學習能力目標
③學生能通過個人、同伴互助和小組討論等方式,在觀察、思考、活動等過程中,正確歸納、比較和運用重點詞和詞組的涵義和用法。 (3)思維品質目標
④學生能運用批判性思維,辯證看待東坡詩詞背誦比賽的意義。 (4)文化品格目標
5、學生不僅了解國內國外的文化,更要有跨文化交際的意識和能力,堅定文化自信,主動傳播中國文化。
五、教學重難點(Teaching important & difficult points)
1.教學重點:能歸納本單元重點詞及詞組的意義和用法;
2. 教學難點:能在語境中在連詞成句和自由發表觀點中正確運用以上詞及詞組,并用所學詞匯正確表達自己的觀點。

Step 1 Lead in
T: China’s Cultural Heritage Day falls on June 9 this year. Danzhou government is going to hold a cultural exchange activity. A group of Russian high school students will pay a visit to Danzhou to take part in it. So Danzhou plans to recruit some volunteers to do the reception work. Would you like to have a try? Requirements: 1.Speak English fluently
2.Know some basic knowledge about cultural relics.
設計意圖:利用6月9日文化遺產日為契機,結合學生剛剛學過的熟悉的文本——閱讀The Amber Room創設有俄羅斯高中生來參加儋州舉辦的文化交流活動需要英語志愿者的較為真實的語境,讓學生自然輕松進入狀態。
Step 2 Presenting the Language points.
T: Danzhou has prepared a gift for them—a video about the Amber Room. However, it’s not dubbed(配音). We need to dub the video.

To spread Dongpoculture, Danzhougovernment is going to hold a Dongpopoetry reciting competition on Jun. 9, 2018. It is in search of citizens who can memorize the most poems of Su Dongpo.Thewinner will be given 300,000 yuanas an award. Anyone who has interest can take part in this competition.

設計意圖:借助權威網絡媒體China Daily這個平臺,以新聞這種語篇來創設真實情景,讓學生思考議論文化遺產保護的話題(東坡詩詞大會是否能真正促進文化傳承),培養學生的批判性思維。
Step 7 Sublimation
Cultural relics have great values in history, art, science, economy, ideology etc. These valuable treasures are what history has left to human beings and can’t be rebuilt. We should cherish them.
設計意圖:升華本堂課內容,讓學生不僅在知識的學習上有收獲,更要激發學生的文化自信與意識到保護文化遺產的重要性。

The teacher leads the students to summarize the key words and expressions.
