Main Lesson Aim(s) Subsidiary Aim(s) By the end of the lesson, the Sts will have practiced a lexical set of clothes (jacket, trousers, blouse, skirt, shorts, tie, sleeve). They will be able to pronounce them accurately, understand their meanings and their forms (single and plural forms) and use them in the suitable situations.
By the end of the lesson, the Sts will be able to develop their skills of speaking in the context of talking about their ideal uniforms Assumptions
1. The Students have learnt vocabulary about clothes before such as shirt, dress, trousers, socks, shoes, coat, scarf. 2. The Students have learnt to use the modal verb “must” to express obligation. Anticipated Problems and Solutions Problem
Solution
1. Some students may have difficulty in understanding the
instructions.
Offer clear and simple instructions. Use some ICQs to check.
2. There may be not enough time for students to do the last
activity.
Make previous feedback effective and short. More peer checks.
3. It is difficult for some students to use the TL to describe their
ideal uniforms as a report. Perhaps they will waste time talking about something which is not relevant to the task. Ask them to prepare the report first.
See if the students are doing the task while monitoring and offer some help to the students.
