《英語課程標準》明確指出：英語教學應以學生為本，面向全體學生，不斷激發(fā)學生的學習興趣，采用活動途徑，倡導體驗和參與，注重語言實踐，培養(yǎng)學生的語言運用能力，使學生初步形成有效的學習策略。
講授這節(jié)閱讀課時，通過略讀、尋讀、精讀等閱讀任務的設置，引導學生列舉各段要點，尋找細節(jié)信息等，激活學生已有知識和對語篇的興趣。根據(jù)學生的認知水平，設計了不同層次的閱讀活動啟發(fā)學生思維，幫助學生形成有效的閱讀策略，并讓學生在閱讀活動中獲得語言實踐的機會，調(diào)動學生學習的積極性和主動性。
教學內(nèi)容分析
1.本節(jié)課是一節(jié)閱讀課。通過視頻、圖片使學生走近珠穆朗瑪峰，了解登山的危險，登山者的成就，進而讓學生體會人類克服困難、挑戰(zhàn)極限的勇氣與實踐精神；并能進一步用形容詞、副詞的比較級、最高級對比談論珠穆朗瑪峰。
2.本課教學中安排了以下活動：Stir interest——整體感知珠峰；Skimming——列要點；Scanning——抓重點；Intensive reading——列表理細節(jié)；Language use——講述身邊的勵志故事。 3.教材所預設的目的是讓學生在體驗珠峰險峻的同時，能夠在特定情景中運用形容詞、副詞比較級、最高級對比談論事物；并能夠講述身邊的勵志故事以進一步提升語言綜合運用能力。
學生情況分析
1.學生已有知識水平：在前一課時中，學生能熟練談論地理與自然，會表達較大數(shù)字。 2.學生的學習困難：學生已初步具備了運用略讀、尋讀技巧獲取主要信息的能力，但是對于尋求細節(jié)信息方面的能力還需要加強，運用形容詞、副詞的比較級和最高級對比談論事物也是學習的難點。
教學目標
在本節(jié)課結(jié)束時,學生能夠:
1.通過閱讀及列表比較等方式，了解與珠穆朗瑪峰有關的信息，并能熟練運用形容詞和副詞的比較級、最高級對比談論珠穆朗瑪峰。
2.通過略讀、尋讀、精讀等方式，能夠運用尋找關鍵詞等閱讀技能，列舉各段要點及尋找細節(jié)信息，并能深入理解文本，提升閱讀能力。
3.通過閱讀及觀看視頻，了解珠穆朗瑪峰的險峻和人類克服困難、挑戰(zhàn)極限的勇氣與實踐精
