Teaching aims:
1. Learn to describe people’s looks 2.Alternative questions Language points:
1. Words and expressions: tall, short, of medium height, heavy, thin,
of medium build, curly, straight.
2. Sentences: What does he look like? \ Is he short or tall? \ He is really tall and he has curly hair. Teaching keys and difficulties:
1. Learn to describe people’s height, build, hair and so on. 2. When to use is or have / has. Teaching methods:
Task-based Language Teaching, Cooperative Learning Method, Independent Study Method.
Teaching procedures: Step 1 Warming-up
1. Greet students and introduce myself.
2. Tell the students what we will learn today.
3. T:In order to have this class, I wear my favorite dress. (1)What do you think of my dress?
(2)What do you think of Echo in this beautiful dress? 4. How to describe people?
(設(shè)計(jì)意圖:由談?wù)摾蠋煹拇┲鴮?dǎo)入到學(xué)生對(duì)老師的描繪,再進(jìn)入到新課的話題,既能了解學(xué)生對(duì)人物描繪的舊知,又能以此為過(guò)渡展開(kāi)新課的授入,導(dǎo)入自然,銜接流暢。)
Step 2 Presentation 1.Enjoy a video. It’s a song from a TV show <<Daddy, where are we going?>>. 2.New words and new sentences. 3.Summary.
(設(shè)計(jì)意圖:播放學(xué)生喜愛(ài)的電視節(jié)目視頻,激發(fā)學(xué)生關(guān)注并學(xué)習(xí)描繪人物外貌的興趣。以節(jié)目中主要人物為模特,逐一學(xué)習(xí)新詞和新句,讓學(xué)生在愉悅的氛圍里開(kāi)展新知學(xué)習(xí),達(dá)到很好的學(xué)習(xí)效果。在學(xué)習(xí)完新知后,適時(shí)的對(duì)零散知識(shí)點(diǎn)的用法進(jìn)行總結(jié)和歸納,以便學(xué)生對(duì)新授知識(shí)有清晰的認(rèn)知。)
Step 3 Read and listen.
1.1a Match the words with the people in the picture.
2.1b Listen and fill in the blanks, then find Amy’s friend. 3.2aListen and answer the questions.
4.2b Listen again and fill in the chart.
(設(shè)計(jì)意圖:1a讀圖匹配安排在學(xué)生對(duì)詞匯已有一定認(rèn)知的基礎(chǔ)上,以便檢驗(yàn)前面環(huán)節(jié)的學(xué)習(xí)效果。1b-2b聽(tīng)力環(huán)節(jié)采用層層遞進(jìn)、逐步加深的方式進(jìn)行,旨在循序漸進(jìn)地引導(dǎo)學(xué)生提取重要信息和細(xì)節(jié)信息的能力。另外,在2a的聽(tīng)力設(shè)計(jì)中,教師還設(shè)計(jì)了關(guān)注選擇疑問(wèn)句的語(yǔ)音語(yǔ)調(diào)的環(huán)節(jié),旨在引導(dǎo)學(xué)生培養(yǎng)良好的語(yǔ)音面貌。)

(設(shè)計(jì)意圖:教師在課件中呈現(xiàn)8張自己班學(xué)生的照片,讓學(xué)生談?wù)撟约喊嗌系膶W(xué)生,激發(fā)學(xué)生開(kāi)口說(shuō)英語(yǔ)的興趣,起到語(yǔ)言激趣的作用。同時(shí)Pair work簡(jiǎn)單問(wèn)答的訓(xùn)練也為學(xué)生后面綜合語(yǔ)言環(huán)節(jié)的運(yùn)用做好了一定的語(yǔ)言鋪墊。)
Step 5 Find Mr./Miss Right.
Try to find the right person according to the clues on the task paper. 老師將學(xué)生分成是十個(gè)小組,每個(gè)小組會(huì)得到一個(gè)信封,信封里面裝有一張描述自己班同學(xué)的紙條,小組同學(xué)們可以根據(jù)紙條上所描述的內(nèi)容在班上尋找 Mr./Miss Right。
(設(shè)計(jì)意圖:學(xué)生們通過(guò)Pairwork已經(jīng)會(huì)簡(jiǎn)單地描述人物的外貌。這一環(huán)節(jié)的設(shè)計(jì)在于訓(xùn)練學(xué)生對(duì)人物文字描述的理解和判斷能力。)
Step 6 Group Work
Some foreigners’ children are lost in Nanchang Wanda Park. Please make a conversation between their parents and the volunteers.
(設(shè)計(jì)意圖:呈現(xiàn)南昌萬(wàn)達(dá)樂(lè)園圖片,用學(xué)生感興趣的話題引入到下一環(huán)節(jié)的語(yǔ)言訓(xùn)練,銜接自然同時(shí)又能激發(fā)學(xué)生語(yǔ)言運(yùn)用的積極性。設(shè)計(jì)真實(shí)情境,讓學(xué)生運(yùn)用所學(xué)知識(shí)進(jìn)行真實(shí)的語(yǔ)言操練,達(dá)到學(xué)以致用的目的,同時(shí)也能體會(huì)語(yǔ)言學(xué)習(xí)的成就感。)
Step 7 Writing
Please write “A Child Lost” to help the foreigners find their lost children.
(設(shè)計(jì)意圖:這一環(huán)節(jié)旨在引導(dǎo)孩子將剛才一個(gè)環(huán)節(jié)訓(xùn)練的口語(yǔ)語(yǔ)言描述用文字的形式表達(dá)出來(lái),培養(yǎng)孩子的書面表達(dá)能力。從而達(dá)到訓(xùn)練孩子聽(tīng)說(shuō)讀寫的綜合語(yǔ)言運(yùn)用能力的教學(xué)目的。)
Step 8 Moral Education
Beauty is not only from appearance, but also from heart.
(設(shè)計(jì)意圖:呈現(xiàn)圖片,升華情感。本課主要學(xué)習(xí)對(duì)人物外貌的描繪,教師在教授知識(shí)的同時(shí)引導(dǎo)孩子樹(shù)立積極正確的價(jià)值觀。)
Step 9: Homework:(Choose one according to your ability)
1. Write some sentences about one of your favorite teacher’s looks. 2. Write a composition about one of your favorite teacher’s looks. (設(shè)計(jì)意圖:作業(yè)采用分層布置,分為一星級(jí)和二星級(jí)作業(yè)。學(xué)生可根據(jù)自身能力進(jìn)行選擇完成作業(yè)。這也體現(xiàn)了教學(xué)中的因材施教的原則。)
