1. To enable the students to know how to write the passage “My school 
trip ”. 
2. To develop the students’ writing skills upon the basis of reading 
comprehension. 
3. To learn to work cooperatively with others. III. Moral Objects: 
1. Help students to share their sweet and unforgettable memories with others. 2. Encourage the students to love their life and enjoy their life.

Pre-writing 
Step 1: Leading-in. Talk about the trips to lead in. To arouse students’ interests.  
Step 2:  Let’s enjoy. Enjoy Ms. Zhu’s trip to Qingdao with the students. 
To arouse students’ interests and know about trips. Step 3: Let’s read. 
1. Read Ms. Zhu’s passage about 
her trip on the WeChat 
Moments and answer several questions. 
2. Read Bob’s and Linda’s trip to 
the zoo and complete their diaries according to the pictures on the textbook.

                            Step 4:  Let’s share. Talk about the students’ school trip to Changsha. 
To encourage students to use the sentence patterns to show their opinions about their school trip. 
Step 5: 
Groupwork. Work in groups to make an 
interview and then make a News Report. 
To encourage students to describe their school trip and prepare for writing. 
Step 6:  Let’s think. 
Make a summary of the aspects of the trip with the studens. 
To present: the aspects of the topic ---“trip”: time, place, people, transportation, weather, feeling, activities, and description words. 
Step 7: 
Groupwork. 
Discuss in groups and find out: How to write an article about our school trip. To help students to get the strategies of writing the passage.  While-writing Step 8:  Let’s write. 
Get students to write the passage “My school trip” and then share it on their QQ zone. 
To train students’ writing skills. 
   
Post-writing 
Step 9:  Let’s show. Show the students’ passages and correct them with the students and then enjoy the beautiful passages. 
To encourage students to show their passages bravely. Step 10:  Homework. 
1. Self-edit the students’ composition according to what they have learned in class. 2. Finish Selfcheck(Exercises1&2). 
To consolidate what the 
students’ have learned today.
