(1) To train the Ss’ listening abilities by catching the key words.
(2) To train the Ss’ ability of telling stories in their own words or talk about people in the stories.
3. Moral Object:
(1) Learn the spirit of Yong Gong.
(2) Educate students not to be afraid of difficulties and develop the spirit that one never gives up.
2學情分析
本單元話題內容是童話故事,貼近學生生活實際,學生們感興趣,有話可說,有話愿說。在Go for it七年級(下)第十單元How was your school trip?和第十一單元What did you do last weekend?以及八年級(上)第一單元Where did you go on vacation?中曾學習過了動詞過去式的基本用法。在學習本單元運用過去式講述英語故事時,結合上一單元的過去進行時,溫故而知新。由詞匯變化到句子,再由句子擴展到語篇,以聽促說,使每位學生都能使用正確的語言結構講故事。
3重點難點
1. Key points:
(1) Grasp some new words and phrases and can use them correctly and easily.
(2)Learn to tell a story by using past tense and the sentence like “once upon a time…”.

Retell the story in English.

活動1【導入】warm－up

(1)T: Let’s enjoy a song.
The song reminds us a story. Do you know the name of the story?
(2)Show some pictures, and lead students to speak out the name of the stories.
(3)Teach students the name of the stories.
設計意圖:以一首大家熟悉的音樂導入這節課,營造輕松愉悅的氣氛,喚起學生的興趣,使學生保持一種積極的學習狀態,很自然地引出本節課的內容,引導者學生說出中國民間神話故事的名稱,讓學生很快融入到學英語的課堂中來,同時教授故事名稱和其中出現的生單詞。
活動2【講授】 Presentation
T: Let’s watch a video about Yu Gong.
After watching, please answer three questions.
1.Who wanted to move the mountains?
2.How many mountains were there near Yu Gong’s house?
3.What did Yu Gong want his family to do?
設計意圖:教師播放自己英文配音的愚公移山的視頻,學生們都知道愚公移山的故事,但是聽英文版還是第一次,于是這個視頻帶領學生在英語語境中感受這個神話故事。并且設置問題,讓學生帶著任務去觀看視頻,幫助學生們理解,并且為接下來的聽力任務做鋪墊,充分地調動了學生的積極性。

設計意圖:在聽2a,2b之前,帶領學生談論圖片,一方面為學生掃清生單詞的障礙,另一方面讓學生觀察圖片,加深對故事情節的了解,為聽力做鋪墊。第三遍聽力任務的設置,通過填空的形式來實現對故事的復述。通過圖片加深印象,創設情景,促使學生在學習過程中學會細心觀察,鞏固了本節課的重點。

(1)Four students is a group to tell the story to each other.
After practicing, some groups tell the story to the whole class.
(2)Challenge yourself
Choose one student to tell the story.
設計意圖:讓學生進行小組練習,這樣的活動既可以培養學生的合作意識,又能在情景中體會用英文講故事的樂趣,增強他們的自信心,變被動學習為主動學習,從而突破了難點。
