Teaching aims:
By the end of the class ,students can be able to: 1. Use charts to organize ideas before writing. 2. Write an article about introducing a country.
3. Be willing to know more about different countries. Teaching steps
Step 1 Lead-in : Watch video and remember the information. (看微課視頻并記憶信息).
Step 2 Pre-writing : Look at the cards and read the information quickly . Group 1 (orange) vs Group 2 (purple)
Step 3 Pre-writing : Fill in the chart. Put the cards into the chart correctly.
Step 4 Pre-writing: What makes a good article? 1. a clear structure --Make the article clear Part 1 Introduction Location & capital Part 2 Main body---places to visit; what to do Part 3 Tips time & weather & money Hamburger Structure! (漢堡包式結(jié)構(gòu))
2. rich contents---Make the article rich. 1）Read topic sentence 2）Read the details 3. good language
1）Use suitable transitions---Make the article smooth
Fill in the blanks with “ moreover / but/ so / because / before ” 2）Use different expressions.---Make the article beautiful.
What are useful expressions? Step 5 While-writing: Make a chart !
Choose a country and make a chart to introduce it. You can use the chart on Page 46 as a model. Step 6 While-writing: Do a report ! Show the chart to the whole class.
Step7 Writing time : Write an article to introduce a country 1. Get the students to divide the article into three parts Part 1 Introduction Location & capital Part 2 Main body---places to visit; what to do
Part 3 Tips time & weather & money 2. Useful expressions: It is a/an ... country.

The weather often / seldom changes ... Step 9 Post-writting : Give the points!
Ask students to be a teacher and correct one of the articles and give the points. Score standard.評分標準 1. clear structure(3 points) 2. rich content(9 points) 3. fine language(2 points) 4. good hand-writing(1 point) Step 9 Homework
1. Review the way to write a good article 2. Learn more about other countries.
