活動1【導(dǎo)入】Step 1 Warm-up
T: Each peorson has a hometown. When we talk about hometown, we feel warm and it’s full of memories.
  Look at the pictures. Talk about what you like best when you talk about hometown.
  T: For me, among these, I like the food best, especially the delicious food in Xinshi. How about you?
  Ask the Ss to talk about the items they like.
活動2【講授】Step 2 Pre-reading
1. T: Deqing is such a wonderful place to live. Next, I will share a video with you. You will feel about the changes in Deqing.
  Play the video and ask the Ss to talk about the changes in Deqing.
2. T: Our government has built many beautiful places for us. But millions of Chinese people leave the countryside or hometowns every year. Why?
  S1: Maybe they leave hometowns to work.
  S2: Maybe for study.
 T: So we can say: Nowadays, millions of Chinese leave the countryside to search for work in the cities.
 Teach: nowadays, search for.
  T: How often do you think these people visit their hometowns?
   S1: Maybe once a year.
T: So we can say : No matter how far away from your hometown, there must be a connection between you and your hometown——homesickness.
Teach: connection, homesickness.
活動3【活動】Step 3 While-reading
Task 1: Read quickly and match the main ideas.
Tips: Don’t read every word. Try to guess what a passage is about by using previous knowledge. Try to find key words and important sentences for main ideas.
A. Their hometowns have changed.
B. Some things never change, like many soft and sweet memories.
C. Many Chinese leave hometowns to search for work.
Task 2: Fill in the chart --Scanning
T: This class, we will talk about “Hometown Feelings”. We know many Chinese leave their hometowns to search for work in the cities. Among these is Zhong Wei, he left his hometown and went to Wenzhou for work.
Teach among.
Read Para 1 and fill in the chart.
Teach crayon and shame.

Task 3: Read Para 2 &3 and fill in the chart – skimming.

Show the picture.-- There was a big old tree opposite the school

 Teach according to, opposite, especially, childhood.
 Infer the blanks: soft and sweet.
It was such a happy childhood. Zhong Wei feels _____________ when he thinks of his hometown that holds his childhood ______________ memories.
活動4【練習(xí)】Step 4 Drills
1. Finish 2b: Read carefully and find expressions in the passage that have the same meanings as these words and phrases.  Pay attention to the context.
Underline the phrases, and try to remember the new words.
 T: Can you remember them now?
2. Finish 2c. Fill in the blanks.
According to Zhong Wei, what are his feelings to his hometown?
good, happy, ashamed, warm, soft, sweet…
T: In a word, what will never change?
S: The love to the hometown
活動5【練習(xí)】Step 5 Post-reading
Have a discussion in groups of 5.Then make a report.
The G20 (Group of Twenty) Leaders’ Summit will be held on September 4-5th , 2016 in Hangzhou. Our hometown – Deqing is so close to Hangzhou.
