I. Teaching aims: 
1. Ss revise and grasp the structures and meanings of the Subjunctive Mood  2. Ss can apply the Subjunctive Mood in the context. II. Teaching important and difficult points: 
Ss can grasp the structures of the Subjunctive Mood and apply them in the context.  III. Teaching methods: 
Inductive and deductive methods, cooperative learning including pair work and group work. IV. Teaching aids:  A computer, a blackboard V. Teaching procedures: Step I Lead in 
Let the Ss enjoy a video and fill in the blank. 
If I ______ a boy, I think I _______________ how it feels to love a girl.  If I ______a boy, I ______________my phone. 
Let the student guess the name of the song——If I were a boy to lead in the revision of subjunctive mood. Step II Revision 
1. Revise the three types of mood:indicative mood, imperative mood, subjunctive mood. 2. Revise the basic grammar of subjunctive mood. 
First divide the class into two groups and then have a competition between them. 2.1 Use if clause to express the subjunctive mood. Ask the students to fill in the blanks.

過(guò)去式（be動(dòng)詞用were） 
                     對(duì)過(guò)去情況:  （謂語(yǔ)動(dòng)詞） 
had done 
對(duì)未來(lái)情況: （謂語(yǔ)動(dòng)詞） 
would/could/might + do (should 不能用) 
Look at the pictures and fill in the blanks. Tutu wishes every day he _____ (have)his birthday. 
The party was terrible. The girl wishes she ____________ (not go) to it. The farmers wish it ______________ (rain) tomorrow. 
Ask the Ss to practise their oral English with their partners, using the subjunctive mood and then share their opinions. 
1)If you had three wishes, what would they be? 
2.)If you were to spend a year in a foreign country to improve your English, which countries would you choose and why?  
2.3 Use some verbs to express the subjunctive mood. 1) insist  堅(jiān)持       
2) order, command  命令                   賓語(yǔ)從句（should）+do 3) advise, suggest, propose 建議 4) demand, require, request, ask   要求 Fill in the blanks. 
1) He suggested that the twins ___________ (send) to a ballet school.(send) 2)They insisted that he ______________ (take) part in the sports meeting. 3) She requested that no one ____________ (smoke) in the meeting room. 4) They demanded that the best food _________________.(cook) Notice: All the evidence suggests that he ________  (steal) the money. He insisted that he _________(be) the best in the class. 
當(dāng)suggest, insist不表示“建議” 或“堅(jiān)持要某人做某事”時(shí), 而是“暗示、表明”、“堅(jiān)持認(rèn)為”的意思時(shí), 賓語(yǔ)從句不用虛擬語(yǔ)氣，用陳述語(yǔ)氣。 Do more exercises: 
1) The guard at gate insisted that everybody ____ (obey) the rules. 
2) He insisted that she ___ (be)seriously ill and that ______ (send) to hospital at once. 3) He suggested that we ____ (have) a meeting at once. 4) His pale face suggested that he ____ (be) ill. Step III Exercises 1. Fill in the blanks. 
1) Why didn't you tell me about your trouble last week? If you _________(tell)me, I could have helped. 
2)Ellen is an excellent dancer. I wish I __________ (dance) as well as her. 
3)I wish I ________(be) at my sister's wedding last Tuesday, but I was on a business trip then. 4）If there _______(be) no modern technology, we should have to wait for weeks to get news from around the world. 2. Correct the sentences. 
1) Some classmates suggest we can go to places of interest nearby. 2) If you are me, would you talk to them? 
3) If I live near my office, I would walk to work every day. 4) I know nothing about the film. If I knew about it, I will tell you. 5) He wishes he studied English instead of French in the college. 3. Translation 
Rose 永遠(yuǎn)不會(huì)忘記那個(gè)夜晚，Jack找到一塊木板，他堅(jiān)持讓Rose一個(gè)人躺在上面。Rose仍然記得Jack對(duì)他說(shuō)：Rose，如果我沒(méi)有贏得船票，我就不會(huì)上船，如果我沒(méi)有上船，我就不會(huì)遇到你。 但Rose多么希望Jack沒(méi)有贏得船票上船，這樣他可以過(guò)他自己的人生。
