Let the Ss enjoy a video and fill in the blank.

1. Revise the three types of mood:indicative mood, imperative mood, subjunctive mood. 2. Revise the basic grammar of subjunctive mood.
First divide the class into two groups and then have a competition between them. 2.1 Use if clause to express the subjunctive mood. Ask the students to fill in the blanks.

Ask the Ss to practise their oral English with their partners, using the subjunctive mood and then share their opinions.

2.3 Use some verbs to express the subjunctive mood. 1) insist 堅(jiān)持
2) order, command 命令 賓語(yǔ)從句(should)+do 3) advise, suggest, propose 建議 4) demand, require, request, ask 要求 Fill in the blanks.
1) He suggested that the twins ___________ (send) to a ballet school.(send) 2)They insisted that he ______________ (take) part in the sports meeting. 3) She requested that no one ____________ (smoke) in the meeting room. 4) They demanded that the best food _________________.(cook) Notice: All the evidence suggests that he ________ (steal) the money. He insisted that he _________(be) the best in the class.
當(dāng)suggest, insist不表示“建議” 或“堅(jiān)持要某人做某事”時(shí), 而是“暗示、表明”、“堅(jiān)持認(rèn)為”的意思時(shí), 賓語(yǔ)從句不用虛擬語(yǔ)氣,用陳述語(yǔ)氣。 Do more exercises:
1) The guard at gate insisted that everybody ____ (obey) the rules.
2) He insisted that she ___ (be)seriously ill and that ______ (send) to hospital at once. 3) He suggested that we ____ (have) a meeting at once. 4) His pale face suggested that he ____ (be) ill. Step III Exercises 1. Fill in the blanks.
