b.Enable the Ss to use these sentence patterns:
…as+原級as… …not as+原級as… quite/very/pretty/so + adj.原級
the+比較級,the+比較級 “越…越…”
比較級+and+比較級/more and more+adj. “越來越…”and so on.
2.Ability objects
a. Ask the Ss to sum up the knowledge learned in the past.
b.Encourage the studends to use the comparative and superlative degrees when necessary.
c. Develop their abilities of speaking and writing.
3.Moral objects
a. Arouse their interest in learning English;
b. Help them to understand the importance of having friends.
c. Encourage the Ss to make more good friends.
2學情分析
The students are in Grade 8.In Unit 3 ,they have learned the comparative degree.They have also learned some words 、phrases and sentences about describing a person . In this unit , they have just learned the superlative degree.So in the last lesson of this unit, I design this wrting class---“My friend and I”to review the language points in the past two units.At the same time, educate the students to make more good friends.

Write a good article and give points to the article by students themselves.

4.1.1教學活動
活動1【導入】Step 1 Lead-in
1. Show the first slide about a group of kids,sing the English song about friends “ the more we get to-gether” together.
2.Ask the studends four questions.
“Do you have friends? Are your friends the same as you or different? Do you think it’s important for you?Do you want to know my friend?”
活動2【導入】Step 2. Presentation
Show a photo of the teacher's friend and the teacher , ask the Ss to find out the differences between us , then play the sound recording of the article about the photo.
活動3【講授】Step 3. Analyse

1. Show the article about the photo , ask the Ss to read it , then analyse “ How many sides are there in the article?” Lead them to sum up the following points.
(1) Your Opinion (2) Appearance (3) Character (4) Hobbies
(5) Learning quality (6) Personality (7) Abilities
2.Learn item by item before writing.(in order to improve the Ss enthusiasm, have a match between the two groups).
(1) Your Opinion(觀點) Ask the Ss to translate the differen opinions.
Then ask Ss to answer:”Which opinion do you support, A, B or C?”
(2)Appearance(外貌) Ask Ss to say something about their appearance, try to use the words and sentences on the slide.
Words :tall-short fat-thin young-old curly-straight
Sentence patterns:…as+原級as…/not as+原級as…quite/very/pretty/so+adj.原級
(3) Character(性格)
a. Lead the Ss to think of some words to express character:
outgoing-quiet/shy funny-serious
b. Make up a sentence with these words :(1) much, than, more outgoing
(2) the,of the two, funnier
(4)Hobbies(愛好)
Ask them to make up sentences with “ like doing ” and ” My hobby is doing sth.…”to introduce their friends and their hobbies.
(5) Learning quality(學習品質)
Make up sentences with the following words and sentence patterns.
hard-working---lazy/ less hard-working smart study hard be talented in…
…one of the +最高級+n.(pl.) .…the +序數詞+最高級
(6) Personality(人品)
a.Lead the Ss to use these expressions :
friendly helpful popular kind care about others / share everything/
be there to do/ bring out the best in sb...
b.Sentence patterns: (1).the+比較級,the+比較級 “越…越…”
(2).比較級+and+比較級/more and more+adj. “越來越…”
c.Ask them to translate:The thinner,the better/The taller,the better./
More and more beautiful / richer and richer…
(7)Abilities(能力)
a.Put the words in order:He can always get better grades than others.
He does better than me in all the subjects.
=He is better than me at all the subjects.
b.Use the sentence pattern to make sentences:v.+(the)+adv.最高級
jump highest / write most carefully/run fastest…..
活動4【練習】Step 4 Finding out the mistakes
Show them five wrong descriptions those are easy to make mistakes,ask them to correct.
活動5【活動】Step 5 Oral writing
1. According to the information in the table , do the oral writing. Prompt them : “ You can use the com-parative and superlative degrees if necessary”.
2.Ask 2 or 3 students to introduce their friend and them in oral.
活動6【測試】Step 6 Writing
1. Show them how to give points: A good writing should…
have correct views/ be complete/ be fluent and graceful/ be grammatical/ be formal
2. Ask the Ss to write an article about their friend and them in five minutes.
活動7【測試】Step 7 Marking
1.Self modification and evaluation: modify for themselves.
2.Group modification and evaluation:change the article and modify for each other.
3.Class modification and evaluation :Take one of the articles in front of the class, mark it together.
(with the help of the projector)
4.Tell the students the following,then count what level are their articles,encourage them to keep writing:中考英語作文分四檔:第一檔(15-13分) 第二檔(12-9分)第三檔(8-5分) 第四檔(4-0分)
活動8【活動】Step 8 The affective values
Tell them some of the old saying to encourage the Ss to go and make more good friends.
a.A friend is like a mirror. We should learn from him/her.
b.A friend in need is a friend indeed.
c.The more we get together, the happier we’ll be.
活動9【作業】Step 9 Homework
Write an article about a person you know well.
