Unit6 I’m watching TV. Section B 1. Teaching aims:
By the end of the lesson, students will be able to:
1) have a further understanding and mastery of Present Progressive Tense in a certain context.
2) describe a picture by using Present Progressive Tense correctly. 3) write a short passage according to a certain context.
2. Students analysis:
Students have had a general understanding of Present Progressive Tense, they know the structure of it. But sometimes they make mistakes when they use the Present Progressive Tense. They need to practice more.
3. Teaching focus and difficulties:
1) Help students to consolidate the usage of Present Progressive Tense.
2) Help students to describe and write by using the Present Progressive Tense in a certain context.
4. Teaching process: Step1.Warming-up
Show students a video and let them sing and dance along with the song.
設計意圖:根據七年級學生好動的特點,我讓學生觀看視頻,并跟著視頻邊唱邊跳,通過口動、眼動、耳動、全身動去參與,體驗。不僅能使學生迅速進入主題,同時能夠活躍課堂氛圍,使學生輕松愉悅的開始一節課,從而激發他們學習英語的興趣。
Step 2. Revision
Show some pictures from students’ daily life to have a brain storming, get them review the activities they have learned before.
設計意圖:讓學生觀看他們自己日常活動的一些照片,直觀地頭腦風暴現在進行時態,并做出快速反應,在大腦中收集相關語言知識,內容上為后面的寫作目標做好知識儲備。
Step 2. Challenges
Challenge one: the quickest eyes
Look at the pictures and answer the questions as quickly as possible. If you know the answer, please stand up and answer the whole sentence.
設計意圖:利用動態圖片,給學生直觀的呈現一些動作,讓學生邊看邊說,復習和鞏固目標語言。看誰的反應快,并給予獎勵,使學生在后面的寫作活動中有話可說。
Challenge two: consolidation An interesting activity.
Ask some students to move the verbs into the classifications according to the rules about how to add “ing”. Review the correct forms of the present participle on the board. Correct their mistakes.
設計意圖:利用多媒體設備,復習和檢查學生對動詞現在分詞的掌握。學生動手拖動屏幕上的單詞,可以調動學生的積極性,同時歸納和總結現在分詞變化規律,老師對做對的學生給予獎勵。
Challenge three: sentence competition
Work in groups to make sentences by using the structure of
Present Progressive Tense
設計意圖:挑戰三和挑戰二的作用一樣,進一步練習和鞏固目標語
言,使學生在語法結構上掌握現在進行時態規律,在句式結構上為后面的寫作做好準備。
Challenge four: description
Show students a picture about Mary’s family and ask them
to describe the picture. After that, show them another picture and write a short passage to describe the picture together.
設計意圖:呈現兩幅圖片,第一張圖片讓學生小試牛刀進行口頭
描述。第二張圖片邊描述邊寫作,讓學生觀察寫作的要點,教師幫助歸納,然后對寫作技巧加以指導,使學生在寫作活動中有了方向盤,在寫作技巧方面為后面的寫作做好準備。
Step 4.Group work
Ask students to describe their own pictures to their group
members. Then, write a composition to describe what the people are doing in the picture.
設計意圖:學生每人自己創作一幅圖片,觀察并給同伴描述,讓學
生掌握看圖寫作的特點,在自己寫作之前與同伴相互交流,在交流中再次啟發靈感。
Step 5. Writing
Give students eight minutes to write a short passage to describe their pictures. After that, choose some samples to show and correct.
設計意圖:通過前面的活動和練習,學生從語言內容、語言結構和寫作技巧三方面為寫作做好了充分的準備,然后開始動手寫作,使學生進一步感受和掌握現在進行時態這一語法點的結構和特點。
