活動1【導入】Teaching steps
1. Warming-up and leading-in
Revise what they leart in last week and lead to the topic. play a vedio about shopping.
2. Listening
To develop students’ listening skill of identifying detailed information.
To enlarge students’ input on the topic of shopping.
1. Play the recording of Activity 2 and ask students to answer questions.
2. Play the recording of Activity 3 and get the students to finish the table.
3. Play the flash of the conversation and ask students to report.
4. Play the video and ask students to answer questions based on it.
1. Listen to the small listening and answer questions in Act 2.
2. Listen to Act 3 and finish the table.
3. Watch the flash of Act 3 and remember as much as possible.
4. Watch the video and answer questions from the teacher.
3. Reading
To help students have a better understanding of the conversations.
To develop students’ fluency in reading.
Check if students understand the new words in the conversations.
Ask students to read in roles.
Invite several pairs to read and check whether they have any problems.
4. Consolidation
To guide the students to summarize the target language as well as consolidating them with controlled activities.
Group the students and ask them to summarize the useful expressions for the customer and shop assistant.
Call back the answers from the students.
Show a controlled activity and check whether the students can use the expressions well.
Summarize the useful expressions in groups.
Check in class.
Complete the conversation.
5. Speaking
To improve students’ speaking ability of using the target language in authentic situations.
Group the students and ask them to choose a task. Different groups carry out different tasks.
Invite several groups to present their dialogues and other students give comments for their performance.
Work on the tasks according to the task descriptions in groups.
Some act out the dialogue in class, others listen carefully and give comments.
