Teaching Aims
Knowledge and skills: Get some reading strategies.
1 Be able to master the new words by reading the context.
2 Develop students’ ability in reading comprehension by learning the passage.
Process and method:
1.Students finish the reading tasks by working individually ,working in pairs and working in groups .
2 read the title and guess the main idea of the passage.
Read and understand the whole passage through some other strategies, such as skimming and reading carefully for details ,get some information through reading .
Emotion ,attitude and value:
Encourage the students to communicate with others when they have problems or are under pressure. Tell them that communicating can make things better.Make them understand it’s important to keep in both mental and physical health.

學(xué)情分析
本節(jié)閱讀課內(nèi)容非常貼近現(xiàn)代學(xué)生的現(xiàn)實(shí)生活,從而學(xué)生非常感興趣,愿意參與各個(gè)任務(wù)。但是初三學(xué)生兩極分化的現(xiàn)象特別嚴(yán)重,究其原因:一是,初三
詞匯量大,部分學(xué)生背不下來,沒有詞匯作基礎(chǔ),閱讀對(duì)學(xué)生來說就成“無源之水,無本之木;二是即使你把單詞背下來,不懂閱讀策略和技巧仍然不能取得好成績�；谏鲜銮闆r,閱讀課應(yīng)立足本單元的基本詞匯和語法,把輸入的知識(shí)轉(zhuǎn)化為輸出的能量,不斷開拓學(xué)生的閱讀分析能力,從而進(jìn)一步提高學(xué)
生的寫作能力,提高輸出效率.

Step1. Leading in
Greeting the class
Free talk : What’s the date today? How about this Saturday?------It’s Teachers’ Day, and in order to relax myself I ‘d like to go to the movies . Then ask ss what are they going to do this Saturday?

Discussion : Do you have some after-school classes?
What are they?
Step 3 While Reading
Fast reading
Go through the passage quickly and match the main idea of each paragraph.
2. Have a guessing
Lead them to learn the new words, and show them next reading strategy: When you meet some new words , don’t worry about them, try to guess the meaning from the context..
