At the end of the class, students are able to a. spell the new words; b. talk about preferences;
c. write a movie review with three parts: beginning, body and ending.
3.Learning strategies:
(1)Students are expected to guess the new words;
(2)Students are expected to communicate with each other in English and ask for help when they meet problems;

a. Students are willing to speak English and take part in activities.

Teaching difficult and focal points:
1. Students can co-operate and help each other while learning. 2. Students are expected to write a movie review with three parts: beginning, body and ending. Teaching procedures: Stage1: Warming-up Step1: Greetings. Step2: Free talk.

Stage3: Pre-writing. Step1: Modeling:

教學反思:
1.本節(jié)課的設計由談論最喜歡的電影角色導入,由學生談論喜好(My favorite movie character is …)自然引入本課話題(movie review),由詞組(take one’s place, fight in the army)到句型(The movie is about …),由句子到文章(write a movie review)最后到小組合作和展示,層次清楚,由易到難,符合學生的認知規(guī)律。
2. 較好的整合了多媒體技術(shù)、數(shù)字資源和教材資源,在電子白板各種功能下、網(wǎng)絡平臺的配合下,較為成功的突破教學重難點,完成了教學目標。
3.評價方式多樣化。有教師評價,學生互相評價,還有網(wǎng)絡平臺上的評價,激勵學生大膽發(fā)言,培養(yǎng)創(chuàng)新性思維。
4.語境性教學。從課堂的導入從最喜歡的電影角色說起,詞匯的學習借助圖片和視頻,寫作活動都是基于學生生活,語言環(huán)境真實,非常有利于學生對新知識的學習,更有利于目標語言的應用。
5. 網(wǎng)絡資源的有效使用。利用電子白板技術(shù),將學生的作文快速在班級共享,可以及時進行課堂檢測,反饋,科學地給出評價。
不足之處:
由于使用電子白板,在切換操作過程中耽誤了一點時間;由于少數(shù)學生對寫作電影(Tom and Terry)了解不夠,寫作過程不暢,降低了學習的效果;在學生個性化輔導上需要更多的工作;在小組合作調(diào)查匯報時,老師更應該給出更多的評價和引導。

Ss discuss the questions and answer the questions. e.g. S1: Yes, I do. Mulan didn’t have any brothers. She took his father’s place to fight in the army.
S2: Mulan dressed up like a boy. Nobody knew she was a girl in the army. Step 3 New words Step 4 Reading

2.Read the article about Mulan. Fill in the blanks in the movie review. Use the words in the box to help you. 3.寫作指導:
首先,閱讀短文,整體把握短文大意。
其次,分析有空格的每個句子,看空格處的意思,聯(lián)系所給單詞的意思,確定空格處應填的單詞。 最后,再通讀一遍短文,看是否通順合理。 4. Ss try to read the article and try to fill in the blanks. 5. Check the answers with the Ss. Step 5.Writing Work on 3b:
1. Think about your favorite movies. Write notes for your own movie review.
