Teaching Aims:
一、Knowledge aims：
1.Let students master these new words: discussion,happen,expect,joke,comedy.
2 Use these expressions to express likes and dislikes.---- What do you think of game shows? ---- I like them. / I love them. / I don’t like them. / I can’t stand them. /I don’t mind them.
二、Ability aims：
By continuing talking about TV programs, my students will have the ability to express their likes and dislikes more fluently.
三、Emotional aims
My students will get to form a correct cultural concept, and develop their own independent personality .
Teaching difficulties and key points:
一、Key points：
1. Review and master the names of TV shows and talk about the opinions and feelings about them. 2. Master the usage of plan,expect,hope, want. 二、Difficult points：
Master these sentences and use them in the conversation：
（1）---Do you want to watch the news? ----Yes,I do/No,I don`t. （2）---What do you think of talk shows?
----I don`t mind them./I can`t stand them./I love watching them.
（3）---What do you plan to watch tonight? ---I plan to watch Days of Our Past.
（4）---What can you expect to learn from sitcoms? ---You can learn some great jokes. (5) ---Why do you like watching the news?
---Because I hope to find out what`s going on around the world.
Teaching methods:
situational teaching, task-based language teaching, group cooperative teaching
Teaching Aids:
PPT, video, pictures, African drum, multimedia.
Teaching Procedures:
Step 1 Greetings
Greet the students. (smile, The person who loves to smile won’t have bad luck.) Step 2 Lead in and Review
1.Watch a video and ask the students to tell the names of TV shows in order.
2. Brainstorm. Ask the students to answer in order.

Step3 Presentation
1. Show the learning goals.

( 通過說唱的形式，來呈現What do you think of .../ How do you like.../以及如何表達自己的喜歡和不喜歡。形式新穎學生樂于接受。) 3. guessing show
(共三輪，第一輪學生猜老師想要看的節目，第二輪老師猜學生喜歡的表演，第三輪學生猜自己的朋友喜歡的表演。通過反復練習，掌握plan to do,hope to do, expect to do, want to do等動詞加不定式的用法。以及在句子情境中的運用。)
(1) ---Do you want to /plan to/ hope to / expect to watch the news? ----Yes,I do/No,I don`t. （2）---What do you think of talk shows?
----I don`t mind them./I can`t stand them./I love watching them.
（3）---What do you plan to watch tonight? ---I plan to watch Days of Our Past. （4）---What can you expect to learn from sitcoms? ---You can learn some great jokes. (5) ---Why do you like watching the news?
---Because I hope to find out what`s going on around the world. 4. Lucky show
Watch and listen to 2d, match the match the persons with their favourite shows.
And if you get the right answer, you will have a chance to choose the ball. Behind the ball, there will be 1-2 points, but if you get the bomb,you will get nothing. (After watching)
Open the book and turn to page 34, read carefully and finish the guide paper . Step4 Group work Talk show:
1.Role play the conversation (兩位學生演繹，分組朗讀) 2. Make new conversations. 3. I’m a reporter.
I think game shows are......I like to watch......And I plan to watch...tonight. I expect to learn .......from news. (通過展示，培養學生在不同情境中運用語言表達的能力，并對前面學習的知識進行鞏固。) Step5. Summary
