教學(xué)目標(biāo)
1. Knowledge aims:
(1)能歸類學(xué)習(xí)表達(dá)食物的名詞:
Vegetables: tomato, cabbage, potato, pumpkin
Meat: beef, chicken, fish, egg
Fruits: strawberry, apple, banana, pear, orange, grape, watermelon
Staple: wheat, rice, bread
Drinks: juice, honey, water, coffee
(2)能正確地運(yùn)用下列短語對(duì)食物的健康與否進(jìn)行描寫:
eat too much salt, cause illness, be weak, drink a glass of milk, eat many vegetables, keep…healthy, be on one’s plate, be delicious
2. Skill aims:
(1)能聽懂有關(guān)食物名詞的對(duì)話或文章。
(2)能用英語熟練的說出已學(xué)過的各種食物的名稱。
(3)有興趣讀并且能讀懂有關(guān)食物類的文章。
2學(xué)情分析
我所帶的班級(jí)學(xué)生人數(shù)為36人,學(xué)生對(duì)于學(xué)習(xí)英語非常感興趣,學(xué)習(xí)熱情較高,自學(xué)能力較強(qiáng),但大部分學(xué)生因?yàn)槿狈τ行У木毩?xí),口語表達(dá)能力相對(duì)較差,需要針對(duì)性地進(jìn)行提高。因此,在這次的閱讀教學(xué)中,采用“拼讀閱讀”的教學(xué)方式讓學(xué)生在閱讀中交流,培養(yǎng)其聽、說、讀、寫的能力。
3重點(diǎn)難點(diǎn)
1. Key points:
能正確地運(yùn)用下列短語對(duì)食物的健康與否進(jìn)行描寫:
too much, cause illness, be weak, a healthy drink, drink a glass of milk, eat many vegetables, keep healthy, be delicious
2. Difficult points:
文章中出現(xiàn)的賓語從句和狀語從句。

① Greetings.

Get students to review previous knowledge by giving suggestions.
T: I’m not feeling well these days. I am so busy and have lots of things to do. I feel very tired, and I often have a headache. What should I do? How can I keep healthy? Could you give me some suggestions?

T: Thank you for your suggestions! As you know, eating healthy food is important to keep healthy. Now let’s learn some words about food. We’ll know what food we should eat more and what to eat less.
Show the pictures of new words and teach the following new words: cabbage, tomato, potato, strawberry, watermelon …
活動(dòng)3【活動(dòng)】Practice
Ask students to work in groups writing down the words about the food.
T: Since you’ve known lots of words about food, let’s do a group work now. Each group needs to write down the food you know. Look! There are 5 series: vegetables, meat, fruits, drinks and staple. What does staple mean in Chinese?
Ss: 主食.
T: Yes. For example, rice is a staple. I will give you 5 minutes, you can discuss in groups and write down the words on the paper. The more, the better. Later I’ll check your words. For one word, you’ll get one point. The group with more points will be the winner.
(Distribute the working sheet below to each group.)

① Pre-reading
Explaining
Explain what Jigsaw reading is and get students to understand how to finish the following tasks.
b. Guessing
Get students to guess the meaning of the tiltle.
T: Now we are going to read a passage. Its title is What Mothers Said to eat. Can you guess what it means?
Ss:媽媽說需要吃的東西。
T: That’s right.
c. Matching
Divide students into pairs, one is A, the other is B. Ask them to finish a matching task like the one below, then check the answers.
Matching task: Match the key phrases with their meanings.

Student A
What Mothers Said to Eat
Mothers always tell their children what they should eat.
When Kangkang was a child, his mother often told him, “Be careful not to eat too much salt or sugar.” She said it might cause illness.
Maria’s mother always took care of Maria very well. For example, Maria’s teeth were very weak, so her mother said that she mustn’t eat too much candy or ice cream.
Student B
Milk is a healthy drink. Jane didn’t like it, but her mother always forced her to drink it. Every morning before she left for school, she had to drink glass of milk because her mother was always watching her.
During Michael’s childhood, he had to eat many vegetables and fruit to keep healthy. Once, cabbage was on his plate. As soon as Michael saw it, he got mad. But his mother made him taste it. He was surprised to find that it was delicious!
a. Skimming
Ask students to read half the text silently and quickly and get the general idea. Students A read the first half of the passage and find out what Kangkang’s and Maria’s mothers told them not to eat. Students B read the second half of the passage and find out what Jane’s and Michael’s mothers told them to eat. Then exchange their ideas and help each other to finish Task 1.

b. Scanning
Let the students read again and answer the questions in Task 2. Students A answer Questions 1-3. Students B answer Questions 4-6. Then they work in pairs and share their ideas by explaining their own passage and answering their partner’s questions.

③Post-reading
a. Language points.
Her mother always forced him to drink it.

Students try to understand the difficult points and take some notes.
b. Getting students to watch the video and read after it.
活動(dòng)5【活動(dòng)】Production
Get students to make a survey about what their mothers told them to eat / not to eat in real life. Then get several students to report in class.
