(1) 教學(xué)內(nèi)容:
人民教育出版社Book 1 Unit 4 Earthquakes 第一課時(shí) Warming up & Pre-reading.
本單元的話題是“地震基礎(chǔ)知識(shí)(basic knowledge about earthquakes)”和“遇到災(zāi)難時(shí)如何自救以及幫助別人(how to protect oneself and help others in disasters)”。具體涉及地震的成因、預(yù)兆、地震造成的損失、地震時(shí)的應(yīng)急救生以及震后的救援等內(nèi)容,是屬于教學(xué)和生活聯(lián)系得比較緊密,實(shí)用性較強(qiáng)的一個(gè)話題。
課本中第一課時(shí)Warming Up部分通過(guò)展示兩張?zhí)粕胶团f金山地震前的圖片讓學(xué)生想象震后這兩座城市的面貌而引出地震這個(gè)話題。Pre-Reading部分要求學(xué)生通過(guò)想象及圖片展示描述地震前的征兆,并討論一個(gè)話題:假如你有時(shí)間帶走一樣物品,你將帶走什么?通過(guò)話題的討論突出生命的價(jià)值。在本節(jié)課的內(nèi)容安排上,豐富完善了課本內(nèi)容,增添了許多其他環(huán)節(jié)和聽(tīng)說(shuō)訓(xùn)練。 (2) 學(xué)生分析:
本人所教班級(jí)是高一(12)班,屬于后進(jìn)生比較多的班級(jí),由43名同學(xué)組成。他們雖具備了一定的聽(tīng)說(shuō)讀寫(xiě)能力,但總體水平不強(qiáng),該話題雖然能引起學(xué)生的興趣,但在表達(dá)上有一定困難,并且由于認(rèn)知水平有限,思維有一定的局限性。因此,在教學(xué)設(shè)計(jì)上教師既要帶動(dòng)全體學(xué)生,又要將教學(xué)任務(wù)分級(jí),最大限度地滿足不同層次學(xué)生的需求,同時(shí)提高他們的認(rèn)知水平,突出生命無(wú)價(jià)的價(jià)值觀。作為本單元的第一課時(shí),側(cè)重訓(xùn)練學(xué)生的預(yù)測(cè)能力、聽(tīng)說(shuō)能力、合作能力、總結(jié)歸納內(nèi)容的能力。 (3) 設(shè)計(jì)思想:
樹(shù)立“一切為了學(xué)生的發(fā)展”的思想,關(guān)注學(xué)生的進(jìn)步和發(fā)展。通過(guò)教師啟發(fā)、循序漸進(jìn)、因材施教和學(xué)生自主、合作、探究激發(fā)學(xué)生的學(xué)習(xí)動(dòng)機(jī),喚起學(xué)生的求知欲望,借情景教學(xué)法;聽(tīng)說(shuō)法;視聽(tīng)法;任務(wù)教學(xué)法達(dá)到教學(xué)目標(biāo)。

① 知識(shí)與技能:了解地震的成因、預(yù)兆,地震造成的損失,地震時(shí)的應(yīng)急
措施以及震后的救援。
② 過(guò)程與方法:將現(xiàn)代電子技術(shù)運(yùn)用到課堂教學(xué)中,通過(guò)他們自己提出想
了解關(guān)于地震的問(wèn)題,大家一起解決問(wèn)題的方式培養(yǎng)學(xué)生日常對(duì)自然現(xiàn)象的觀察能力和思考能力,對(duì)地震等災(zāi)難中逃生和救生方法的了解。 ③ 情感態(tài)度與價(jià)值觀:正確面對(duì)地震中可能會(huì)發(fā)生的總總傷害,通過(guò)地震
逃生中發(fā)生的種種行為總結(jié)出生命最寶貴,錢財(cái)乃身外之物的結(jié)論,在遇到困難時(shí)大家要及時(shí)相互幫助。

1. Lead-in: Mr. Nature is emotional. When he is angry, it can cause some natural disasters. Questions: How many natural disasters do you know?After listing some names of natural disasters, students read them aloud. By comparing some pictures of natural disasters, students can draw the conclusion that earthquake may cause the worst damage to human.
用擬人化的手法將自然災(zāi)害導(dǎo)入,通過(guò)近10名學(xué)生列舉自然災(zāi)害引發(fā)頭腦風(fēng)暴,打開(kāi)學(xué)生思維,并通過(guò)全班朗讀加深災(zāi)難詞匯記憶,然后通過(guò)圖片對(duì)比得出地震給人類造成的災(zāi)難最大。順理成章引出地震災(zāi)難話題。 4’
2. Surf the internet via iPad: Since earthquake can cause the worst damage to human. Ask students to surf the internet via iPad and try to find some pictures that hit them before or after an earthquake in Tangshan、San Francisco. Then share their feelings and pictures via multimedia with classmates.
讓剛激發(fā)起話題興趣的學(xué)生通過(guò)iPad上網(wǎng)查找打動(dòng)他們的震前震后城市圖片,通過(guò)討論分享感受,并讓4名學(xué)生將打動(dòng)他們的圖片傳至全班的多媒體播放器,借助電子信息技術(shù)進(jìn)行有效教學(xué),圍繞學(xué)生想了解的內(nèi)容展開(kāi),以學(xué)生為中心,提高教學(xué)質(zhì)量。

進(jìn)入話題的中心環(huán)節(jié),任何事情的發(fā)生都有其原因和征兆,先找出地震發(fā)生的原因和征兆,以培養(yǎng)學(xué)生日常對(duì)自然現(xiàn)象的觀察能力、思考能力和表達(dá)能力。并通過(guò)聽(tīng)力填詞核對(duì)震前征兆的猜想是否正確,鍛煉了聽(tīng)力能力,同時(shí)該聽(tīng)力的設(shè)置降低了難度,符合本班情況。 5’

③ After an Earthquake, how to escape? 通過(guò)討論地震來(lái)臨時(shí),你該怎樣做的話題漸入本課時(shí)高潮,討論可從三方面進(jìn)行:震前準(zhǔn)備、震中避難、震后逃離,降低了討論難度,并且更加有針對(duì)性,有利于問(wèn)題的深入研究。

6. Presentation and role play: Scene1 How to be Prepared
Teacher presents students some belongs on the desk: doll、diary、water、money、mask、first-aid kit、phone,etc. Inviting them to choose one before an earthquake with reasons. After their presentation, teacher gives them some tips, and all the students read the tips aloud.
Scene 2 During an Earthquake
Providing that you are in the classroom or you are sleeping、driving、playing outside. What should you do? 進(jìn)入本課時(shí)高潮,將所學(xué)理論知識(shí)運(yùn)用到實(shí)踐中。 震前準(zhǔn)備:老師將生活中所需部分物品陳列在課桌上,邀請(qǐng)6名學(xué)生,每人挑選1件隨身帶走的物品并說(shuō)出理由。該活動(dòng)設(shè)計(jì)不僅活躍課堂氣氛,更體現(xiàn)出學(xué)生們不同的人生觀、價(jià)值觀。教師在該活動(dòng)后進(jìn)行總結(jié):任何時(shí)候生命是最寶貴的,當(dāng)時(shí)要帶走能幫助我們逃生的物品。幫助學(xué)生確立正確的人生觀、價(jià)值觀。

7. Conclusion and homework:Come back to the questions that students want to know about earthquake at the beginning of this class. Try to find out what we have known during this class and what is to be known after class, and the unknown part is the homework.
本節(jié)課的尾聲部分回到課初學(xué)生通過(guò)QQ發(fā)送的關(guān)于地震想了解的知識(shí)部分,并將問(wèn)題歸類書(shū)寫(xiě)在黑板上。通過(guò)一節(jié)課的學(xué)習(xí),一部分問(wèn)題已得到解決,成為已獲知識(shí),回顧已獲知識(shí)的要點(diǎn)信息以加強(qiáng)鞏固;還有一部分問(wèn)題有待解決,即作為家庭作業(yè)課后探究。通過(guò)發(fā)現(xiàn)問(wèn)題,解決問(wèn)題的方式答疑解惑、增長(zhǎng)知識(shí)。

(10)學(xué)生學(xué)習(xí)活動(dòng)評(píng)價(jià)設(shè)計(jì): 評(píng)價(jià)方式采用:自評(píng)、他評(píng)、師評(píng)。每個(gè)主題活動(dòng)結(jié)束后,學(xué)生填寫(xiě)一張?jiān)u價(jià)表,學(xué)期做階段性評(píng)價(jià),并把評(píng)價(jià)結(jié)果記入“我的成長(zhǎng)足跡”。 (11)教學(xué)反思或值得改進(jìn)的地方:
總體感覺(jué)上,本節(jié)課上得比較成功。基本上完成了教學(xué)任務(wù);達(dá)到了當(dāng)初設(shè)定的三維目標(biāo);教學(xué)過(guò)程流暢;重難點(diǎn)突出;師生互動(dòng)有效;問(wèn)題設(shè)計(jì)由淺入深,學(xué)生參與度廣,學(xué)生個(gè)體差異得到尊重;整節(jié)課的內(nèi)容借助多媒體和現(xiàn)代電子技術(shù)iPad手段,圍繞著學(xué)生的困惑展開(kāi)教學(xué),做到教學(xué)內(nèi)容從困惑中來(lái)到困惑中去(將本節(jié)課未能解惑的問(wèn)題作為家庭作業(yè)進(jìn)行課外延伸);通過(guò)本節(jié)課的學(xué)習(xí),
學(xué)生們不但對(duì)地震等災(zāi)難中逃生和救生方法有一定的了解,而且培養(yǎng)學(xué)生日常對(duì)自然現(xiàn)象的觀察能力和思考能力,通過(guò)大家的討論,增加了生命教育知識(shí)。在教學(xué)方法和手段的處理上,充分考慮本班學(xué)生水平情況,問(wèn)題設(shè)置難易交加,100%的學(xué)生參與到話題討論中,85%的學(xué)生參與到單獨(dú)回答問(wèn)題中,同時(shí),通過(guò)全班朗讀、聽(tīng)力訓(xùn)練,提高了英語(yǔ)運(yùn)用能力。
但是部分同學(xué)在討論、匯報(bào)、回答問(wèn)題聲音不夠洪亮,表達(dá)方式不夠地道,在今后的教學(xué)中要加強(qiáng)語(yǔ)句表達(dá)方面的訓(xùn)練。同時(shí),由于本堂課任務(wù)多,容量大,導(dǎo)致完成任務(wù)時(shí)間較緊,任務(wù)間過(guò)渡不夠自然,再觀本次教學(xué)設(shè)計(jì),部分環(huán)節(jié)可做精簡(jiǎn),便于教學(xué)的重難點(diǎn)闡明得更透徹。
