整體設計
教學重點
1. Enable the students to grasp the usage of such important words and expressions as distinguish,convenient,set about doing, now and then, etc.
2. Get students to master the patterns “there be...” “It seems that...”and “so...that”. 教學難點
1.Let students learn the usage of the word distinguish and the sentence pattern “there be”.
2.Get students to translate some long sentences using what has just been learned. 三維目標 知識目標
1. Get students to know the Chinese meanings of the new words in this unit.
2. Get students to learn and grasp the important and useful new words and expressions in this part: distinguish,convenient,set about doing, now and then.
3. Let students learn the following important and useful sentence patterns: “there be...” “It seems that...”and “so...that”. 能力目標：
1. Get students to use some useful new words and expressions freely and correctly. 2. Enable students to make sentences after the useful sentence patterns. 情感目標
1. Stimulate students’ interest in learning English.
2. Develop students’ spirit of cooperation and teamwork. 教學過程
Step1. A game on the words in this unit
1. Students are divided into three groups. Play a game named “Wars between heroes”. Step2. Studying key language points of the class
1. Students refer to their dictionary for the usages of distinguish, there be and seem within 2 minutes.
2. Studying important language points.
distinguish vi. & vt. 顯示……的差別； 1) 使……有所不同，辨別

distinguish…from 把……與……加以分開 distinguish between A and B 辨別A和B distinguish oneself 使自己與眾不同 【即學即練】用distinguish的搭配完成句子。

seem的歸納總結
1)seem to do 似乎……說明現在或將來 Something seemed to be wrong with him.
(2016•全國卷Ⅲ）However, my parents didn’t seem to think such. 2)seem to have done 似乎已經……說明已經發生 3)以上兩種句型都可以轉化為It seems/seemed that… seem 構成的句式: It seems that...
It seems as if/ as though... There seems (to be )….
It seems that everyone was satisfied. It seems as if you are the first one here.
There seems (to be) no reason for believing him. 【即學即練】
1. Jack seemed to have known the truth.
=____________________________the truth. 杰克似乎已經知道了真相。
2.Snakes come near the house now and then, and they seem to ____________(make) their home here, not far from the walnut tree.
蛇不時來到我們的房子旁邊，似乎在離核桃樹不遠 處安家了。
2. The criteria are so strict that it is difficult to get new ideas accepted unless they are truly novel. 評判的標準是那么嚴格以至于新的想法很難被接
受，除非它們確實異乎尋常。
so …that… , 如此……以至于……，so后可用形容 詞或副詞表原因，that后的句子表結果。
例如：They were so hurry that they had had their
camels left.他們走得那么匆忙，以至于把駱駝都丟掉了。 【知識拓展】
…so that … 意思：…… , 以便于……表目的。 例如：
It opens channels from heart to heart__________ feelings can flow reciprocally.
它打開誠實的渠道，以便情感能相互地流動。 【高考鏈接】 (2014·浙江高考)Cathy had quit her job when her son was born that she could stay home and raise her family.(單句改錯)
句意:兒子出生時凱西辭去了工作以便能待在家里撫養孩子。so that引導目的狀語從句,從句中的could也起提示作用。 Step3 Class exercises
