This part appears in Book8 Unit3 Inventors and Inventions, reading I. This unit
mainly talks about some great inventions and inventors. The teacher tries to help students learn to discover and solve the problems. In this lesson, it contains four parts. Students will read, discuss and then write to apply what they be input.

How to describe the problem of the snakes and what has been done by the writer to solve the problem.
教學難點
Learn how to meet the requirements of getting a patent.
學情分析
Students are from senior 2. Although they have basic ability of reading, speaking and writing, they are unwilling to express themselves. So I tries to lead them to discuss
the topic related to them closely. Then I tries to help them to set down what they have talked about.

Train the students’ reading ability through discussing, reading and practicing.
Teach the new words and expressions in the context.

In this class, students can be interested in the topic of inventors and inventions after enjoying a short video on some folk inventions of China. After showing some pictures of some famous people and their contributions to the society, students will have a clear realization of to be a successful person. Try to help the students learn some stages that an inventor must go through and some requirements on applying a patent. Encourage the students to research everything carefully in daily life. Each student will have a chance to be an inventor as long as they are willing to try to be determined, creative, patient, imaginative, hardworking,
adventurous and challenge.
