教學目標
1. Knowledge aims
a. Students should learn and use the following words and expressions :difficult, simplify, drag, spit, lack, triangle, onion, worthwhile have access to, set up ; words to describe teachers: wonderful, patient, hard-working, devoted, committed
b. Students are enabled to use the grammar:  I wish…   I should have done…
2. Ability aims
a. Students can use some adjectives to describe teachers.
b. Students can understand the reading passage clearly.
c. Students are able to use “I wish… and I should have done …” to express regrets.
3. Moral aims
In this lesson, I encourage the students to be more interested in study by letting them know that even a
difficult student like Graham can be changed into a successful adult, arousing their feelings of thanks and respect for the teachers.
2教學內容
1.教材內容的地位、作用與意義
本單元的中心話題是“Learning”,內容涉及“終身學習”、“不同的學校”、“老師”、“理解”等話題。在Warm-up及第1,2課時里,學生已經圍繞與學習相關的話題展開了活動,那么談論與學習關系密切的“老師”這一話題就自然地展開了。
2.教材編排的特點、重點與難點
本文由兩部分組成My Teacher 和My Student 組成,分別從學生Graham Lawrence對老師Brian Jenkins的印象、老師對學生的印象及老師自己對“教師”這一行業的評價展開描述,體現了老師在教育學生尤其是問題學生的過人之處。
鑒于本課是閱讀課,課型為Language Focus,我把本課設計為讀懂課文結合重要的語言、語法點,本人希望通過本課的教學達到師生間的相互理解及讓學生表達對老師的感激之情。
3教學重點
(1) Getting the students to understand the passage clearly.
(2) Focusing on the grammar points---- I wish…/ I should have done….
4教學難點
(1) Understanding the two clues of the passage: In what ways was Graham difficult? What did Mr. Jenkins do to change Graham?
(2) Learning to use “I wish… and I should have done… ” to express regrets.
5教學對象
高二學生經過了高一的適應性階段后,對英語新課標的要求及老師的上課方式有了一定的認識和了解,樹立了較正確的英語學習觀。他們在課堂上能積極配合英語教學,這充分顯示了高二學生渴望走向成熟的特點。由于缺乏真實的語言環境,學生雖然能聽懂一定難度的課堂用語,但口語表達仍欠流利和地道,大多學生只會使用簡單的單詞和句型。本設計適合于普通水平的班級,人數50人左右,達到課程標準要求的7級水平。
本人借班上課,是我校的高二(36)班,這是一個普通層次的理科班,男女比例較適中,雖然相當一部分學生的英語基礎較差,但他們的求知欲較強,能積極參與課堂學習,但由于詞匯量欠缺,大部分學生的口語表達能力及課文理解能力較差,需要老師給予清晰的任務指示和引導。

上完這節課后,我認為這節課較好地完成了預設的教學目標,教學思路清晰,課件制作精細,課堂氣氛活躍,體現了教師為主導,學生為主體的原則,所有任務和操練都圍繞學生為主線進行,層層深入,學生表現積極、主動、配合,整個過程動靜相宜,松弛有度。師生互動良好,適度地進行情感教育,增加了師生間的理解和信任。但由于課堂時間僅為40分鐘,非常有限。我在給學生獨立思考和合作討論探究的時間不夠充分,而且課堂評價不夠多樣化。這需要在今后的教學中不斷摸索,不斷提高和完善。
