Pre-reading   
T: Hello, boys and girls.
S: Hello, May.
T: Yes, I’m your English teacher, May. Today we will have an English lesson here in this very big classroom. Do you feel nervous?
S: No./Yes.
T: Well, don’t worry. Let’s play a game first. It’s called 30 seconds non-stop talking. If I show you the word---Color, then you say……..in your group one bye one for 30 seconds. It’s better not to stop, are you ready? (給出單詞)
 
T: Good! I heard so many words about insects! Fantastic! Well, boys and girls, what insect do you like? Could you tell us?   Why?
T: You like different insects. Do you know any books or stories about insects?  Look, here’re some books, do you know their names? (讓學(xué)生說(shuō)書(shū)名)
 
T: There are many books about insects. Today we’re going to read a book about this-------. It’s not an insect yet.  (Caterpillar) What’s this? (教拼讀caterpillar
 
T: Do you like this caterpillar?  Why not why not?
Can you describe it?
 
T: Well, like it or not, we’re going to read a story about him. Look, this is the cover of the book. Could you please watch carefully and guess the name the book?  (出示PPT, 黑板上板書(shū))

T: Fantastic! You have so many good questions! To find the answers, let’s start to enjoy the story.   Listen to the beginning and the end
PPT 開(kāi)始講故事,講第1-3頁(yè),此段重點(diǎn)營(yíng)造故事氣氛)
T: Ooops, it stops. And some pages are missing. And now, look!.......
T: Why does the very tiny caterpillar become a big and fat one? What happened? (享受閱讀第2步: 帶著想象預(yù)測(cè)故事經(jīng)過(guò))Boys and girls, can you guess the missing part of the story? (給例子先) Use your imagination! First share your ideas in your groups.
 
 
T: You have different story ideas. But one thing is for sure, he eats and eats, right? What does he eat? Now please open the picture bags, read the pictures in two.  Remember, if you don’t know some of the words, the pictures will help, you can guess, and if you don’t know how to read them, try to guess from the syllables. T: Boys and girls, we have enjoyed this story. Do you like it?  Well, can you try to tell this story? (享受閱讀第5步:帶著情感講述故事) Since it’s quite a long story, we can start from the pictures. Try to tell us what happened in each picture, Now look, I have a picture here. (拿圖1Can you say something about this picture? (學(xué)生說(shuō)完把圖貼上黑板,依次處理其他圖)
 
T: Good, look, this is the story line. (畫(huà)連線)And what you have to do is ---Talk about them one by one and use the words which can show you the sequence, such as… And don’t forget to show us how you feel about this story. Please make us want to listen to you, OK?  Now, try to tell the story to your partner or in your groups.   (反饋一個(gè))

T: Well, I think you don’t know the writer of the story yet. Look, here he comes.
  Can you read his name?  And can you read what he says?
 
T: Yes, Eric Carle loves picture books. I hope all of us love them, too. Can if you want to know more about Eric Carle and his books, please go to -------- You may see these books, they’re all from Eric Carle, and I hope you enjoy them, too.

說(shuō)課稿:
問(wèn)好,簡(jiǎn)單說(shuō)課 幾方面
1. 為什么選擇課型   這節(jié)課是我所在的北京東路小學(xué)的校本閱讀課當(dāng)中的一種——繪本閱讀課。我們的這種校本閱讀課目的在于讓學(xué)生在本身所學(xué)的牛津教材之外接觸到更多鮮活的、地道的、有一定啟發(fā)性的英語(yǔ)閱讀材料。那么為什么要強(qiáng)調(diào)繪本閱讀這種課型呢? 因?yàn)榻?jīng)過(guò)一段時(shí)間的實(shí)踐后我們發(fā)現(xiàn)繪本閱讀最受歡迎。它圖文結(jié)合,色彩鮮艷,不僅吸引……也吸引…… 我們很多孩子家里都有網(wǎng)上訂購(gòu)或者家人從國(guó)外帶回來(lái)的原版繪本,買不到的就在網(wǎng)上在線閱讀。所以今天我特別挑選了一個(gè)這樣的課型,因?yàn)槲矣X(jué)得孩子在上繪本閱讀課時(shí)最放松最愉快。
 
2.為什么選擇毛毛蟲(chóng)繪本  在我們學(xué)校的閱讀課中,每一節(jié)課的內(nèi)容可以由教師根據(jù)當(dāng)前學(xué)生所學(xué)到的內(nèi)容進(jìn)行選擇。比如,今天這節(jié)課,我所用的5年級(jí),教過(guò)的老師……從星期、病痛、昆蟲(chóng),還有一般現(xiàn)在時(shí)的時(shí)態(tài)都是可以和學(xué)生……,也就是說(shuō)首先我的著眼點(diǎn)是這個(gè)繪本是否適合孩子閱讀,它的難度應(yīng)該是略高于孩子現(xiàn)有的學(xué)習(xí)水平的,這樣學(xué)生讀起來(lái)是不很費(fèi)勁才會(huì)愿意想辦法克服讀下去。其次原因是——40年的經(jīng)典,有它本身的魅力。同樣一本
 
3. 整節(jié)課如果說(shuō)要提煉出一個(gè)中心詞的話,我想應(yīng)該是enjoy,那通過(guò)繪本、通過(guò)我的這節(jié)課我希望學(xué)生和我一起享受什么?
 
Enjoy imagining   
繪本最大的一個(gè)好處是不像教材學(xué)生能預(yù)習(xí)到,除非剛好,幾率小,所以在什么都不知道的情況下,最適于學(xué)生展開(kāi)想象。我設(shè)計(jì)的看封面猜書(shū)名,看書(shū)名引起好奇提問(wèn)題,還有看前三頁(yè)跳到故事后面的情節(jié),都是在給孩子想象。試想我們拿到一本書(shū)首先……,都是符合閱讀心理的。孩子有了機(jī)會(huì)展開(kāi)想象,但是想象也不是全無(wú)單據(jù)的,是需要……  在用英語(yǔ)表達(dá)出來(lái),訓(xùn)練學(xué)生用英語(yǔ)去思維去表達(dá)的能力,而且孩子很樂(lè)于敢于去猜測(cè)去提問(wèn),這需要我們平時(shí)多注意給與孩子發(fā)散性思維的訓(xùn)練,當(dāng)課堂中得到很多驚喜的答案時(shí)是我最享受的,孩子也會(huì)很享受這樣的想象。

閱讀課當(dāng)然要給孩子繪本材料去讀,但是怎么給?是個(gè)問(wèn)題。我們選取的很多內(nèi)容是國(guó)外的原版的書(shū)籍,我們沒(méi)有辦法給每個(gè)孩子都買一本,非常昂貴。大多數(shù)時(shí)候我們把材料復(fù)印給孩子,但是像今天的課我給孩子的閱讀材料是沒(méi)有裝訂成書(shū)的,他們拿到的是散開(kāi)的打亂的材料,第一遍讀——得知,強(qiáng)化2個(gè)技能。第二遍——形成故事—自豪感,訓(xùn)練學(xué)生的尋找暗示時(shí)間的線索詞。
 
Enjoy speaking
說(shuō)是閱讀課,但是我們只是以閱讀材料為載體,讓學(xué)生通過(guò)讀促進(jìn)說(shuō)以及其他的技能。所以學(xué)生課上有很多的表達(dá),從開(kāi)頭的預(yù)測(cè)到閱讀的反饋還有最后的看圖根據(jù)故事主線說(shuō)故事,都是已說(shuō)的形式來(lái)展現(xiàn)的。如果在閱讀之后我們的孩子能夠根據(jù)繪本的圖片讓大概地把故事說(shuō)出來(lái),就是在訓(xùn)練孩子交流表達(dá)能力。英語(yǔ)學(xué)習(xí)的目的不就是為了交流溝通嗎?如果只會(huì)看不會(huì)說(shuō),就是我們所說(shuō)的啞巴英語(yǔ)了。為了減輕說(shuō)整本書(shū)故事的難度,我采用了分圖說(shuō)話的形式。通過(guò)我出示4幅圖讓學(xué)生先學(xué)會(huì)看圖把幾個(gè)關(guān)鍵階段說(shuō)出來(lái),形成story line,然后加上表示時(shí)間先后順序的短語(yǔ)句子,加上對(duì)繪本內(nèi)容的理解和記憶,這樣學(xué)生就是在有輔助的情況下說(shuō)這個(gè)故事,不會(huì)懼怕,不會(huì)感到不知所措,才會(huì)享受說(shuō)故事的過(guò)程。
 
4. 為什么要給學(xué)生做圖書(shū)推薦卡    激發(fā)學(xué)生對(duì)英語(yǔ)的熱愛(ài)。圖書(shū)漂流活動(dòng)得到啟示,其實(shí)這其中融合了寫的過(guò)程,要求學(xué)生會(huì)概括-----Main story,會(huì)推薦----Why do I like it   學(xué)生還通過(guò)了解作者了解更多的繪本書(shū)籍。這樣把閱讀帶回家,進(jìn)行了延伸和拓展,最大化效果。
 
最后,我想說(shuō)的是——我很享受和孩子們?cè)谡n上一起閱讀,我希望各位老師也能夠去嘗試這樣的繪本閱讀,讓孩子走近英語(yǔ)閱讀的世界。還是借用這本書(shū)的作家的話—————— 如果有興趣和我交流的老師可以……

教學(xué)目標(biāo):
1. 學(xué)生讀懂繪本內(nèi)容,理解故事情節(jié)。
2. 學(xué)生閱讀繪本后用自己的語(yǔ)言簡(jiǎn)短概括故事內(nèi)容,初步復(fù)述故事內(nèi)容。
3. 學(xué)生在閱讀繪本的過(guò)程中享受繪本閱讀,樂(lè)于閱讀繪本內(nèi)容,為今后進(jìn)一步的繪本閱讀打好基礎(chǔ)。
 
教學(xué)簡(jiǎn)案:
Pre-reading
1. Warming-up activity
2. Talk about the insect the students like.
T: What insect do you like? Why?
T: What books about insects do you know?
3. Tell the students that today they’re going to read a book about a caterpillar.
4. Talk about the cover of the book.
  T: Do you like this caterpillar? Why or why not?
  T: Can you guess the name of the book from the cover?
5. Show the students the name of the book: The very hungry caterpillar
  T: Do you have any questions about this very hungry caterpillar?
(The teacher writes down the questions on the blackboard.)
6. Listen to the story (Just listen to the beginning and the end of the story)
  T: Some pages in this book are missing. Can you guess the missing part of the story?
(此部分重點(diǎn)培養(yǎng)學(xué)生有根據(jù)地進(jìn)行讀前推測(cè)與想象,為下一步學(xué)生閱讀故事做好鋪墊。)
 
While-reading
1. Read the pictures and find out the food the caterpillar eats.
  T: Now you know what he eats, can you say them in English?
(第一次閱讀通過(guò)零散的故事圖片得知毛毛蟲(chóng)吃了些什么,學(xué)會(huì)其英語(yǔ)表達(dá)。)
2. Ask the students to read the pictures again and make their own picture books.
T: Now could you read the pictures again and pay attention to the words which can show you the sequence, make your picture books according to them.
(第二次閱讀通過(guò)文字中時(shí)間標(biāo)志性的詞語(yǔ)為圖片排序,制作出自己的繪本。)
3. Read the story with the teacher together.
(第三次閱讀試著與教師一起讀故事,驗(yàn)證自己的繪本是否符合原著。)
4. Answer the questions on the blackboard.
T: So now you know the whole story, have you got the answers to the questions?
5. Read the picture book again, try to tell the story.
(第四次閱讀為說(shuō)故事以及概括故事做好準(zhǔn)備。)
6. Talk about some of the pictures in the picture book according to the story line.
 
Post-reading
1. Share the picture book with others.
T: Try to make a recommendation card for your picture book.
2. Introduce the writer and illustrator of the book---Eric Carle
3. Tell the students more information about Eric Carle and his books.
(通過(guò)一本繪本的閱讀以及教師的介紹讓學(xué)生了解繪本作者,接觸到更多的優(yōu)秀的繪本,擴(kuò)大學(xué)生的閱讀面,進(jìn)一步引領(lǐng)學(xué)生走進(jìn)繪本的世界。)
