教材分析
本單元是本冊教材的第一單元，從學生熟悉的教師到身邊的朋友，圍繞對他人進行性格特征和外貌的描述展開。本課是故事教學，通過前期的學習，學生已經能夠對人物進行描述，通過幫助Zoom 等小動物一起猜測來的體育老師是什么樣，到最后發(fā)現(xiàn)新來的體育老師與想象不符，既是對知識的滾動提升，又滲透了不能以貌取人的思想，幫助學生樹立正確的審美觀。
設計說明
本課為故事教學，以學生本單元主句型Who’s your…teacher? What’s he/she like? Is he/she…?引出PE teacher，迅速進入話題。在復習已學單詞時，設計football game，幫助學生在情境中學習足球運動中進球、失球、得分的表達。進入文本后，將文本分成兩部分：1.猜測體育老師形象；2.最終發(fā)現(xiàn)體育老師的形象。在此過程中始終讓學生帶著問題閱讀、觀看視頻，學生自己對比感知體育老師形象上的不同，最終得出結論：You can’t judge a book by its cover.最后，讓學生通過教師給的支架，對故事進行復述，使語言的表達得到提升！
教學目標：

She is kind. We often play basketball/play football in PE lesson. 由本單元主題歌曲進行熱身，通過對學生任課老師的詢問，幫助學生了解本課的話題。在問答體育老師的情況后，詢問體育課做些什么，引出play football.

問和觀看片段讓學生自己找到答案，他們在聊什么？他們猜測體育老師是什么樣的？為后三幅圖的學習留下懸念。
在學習的過程中適當進行表演，可以讓學生更好地理解故事，培養(yǎng)閱讀興趣。
在閱讀第4-6幅圖后，回答問題：誰來了？是什么樣的？Zoom認為他會踢球嗎？通過自己閱讀將兔子的外形特征與他在踢足球時的表現(xiàn)進行對比。
故事教學中表演環(huán)節(jié)是非常重要的，有助于學生對故事的理解！
