Unit 6 I’m watching TV.Section A 1 (1a-2c)一、教學目標: 1. 語言知識目標:
1) 能掌握以下單詞和詞組:doing homework, watching TV, cleaning, eating dinner,
reading a book, talking on the phone
能掌握以下句型:
①What are you doing? I'm watching TV. ②What's he/she doing? He/She's reading. ③What are they doing ? They're watching TV. ④Is he reading? Yes, he is./ No, he isn’t. (2) 能了解以下語法:
The Present Progressive Tense 2. 情感態度價值觀目標:
通過對本單元的任務性活動,目的是能培養培養學生學習英語的強烈興趣,樂于參加各種活動的積極情感,樂于合作,培養學生團結合作的精神 二、教學重難點 1. 教學重點:
1) The Present Progressive Tense
2) What questions Yes/No questions and short answers 3) Learn the new language points. 2. 教學難點:
現在進行時中現在分詞的結構及讀音,能在交際中準確地運用現在進行時來描述或表達正在進行的動作。 三、教學過程 Step 1 Warming up Greetings
Step 2 Lead-in and presentation
1. Lead out the new phrases and target languages.
E.g. T: What’s this S: It’s a newspaper.
T: What is he doing? S:He’s reading a newspaper.
(Help him/her to answer.通過課件上的圖片,引出目標單詞,由單詞,到詞組,以chain drill的形式操練目標語言)
New phrases: reading a newspaper, making soup, listening to a CD,etc. 2. Play a game: 圖片閃現游戲,stand up and say the phrases
Show the pictures quickly on the screen and let students stand up and say the phrases quickly. 通過在大組進行競爭游戲,讓學生在緊湊的環節中,活躍課堂氣氛,鞏固所學目標語言。 3.Show some pictures to the students to present the sentence structures: ①. T: Look at the picture and answer my question. What are you doing? 引入目標句型:What are you doing? I’m reading a newspaper. Etc.
通過師生問答,操練目標語言。在句式練習中,鞏固新詞組,體悟現在進行時的語境。 ② Pair work
A: What are you doing?
B: I’m .... What are you doing? A: I’m ...
talking on the phone, exercising , using the computer, making soup
給出對話框架和備選動詞詞組。降低操練的難度,本著小步子,低臺階,快節奏的原則,讓同學們熟練掌握目標語言。
3. Show students other pictures and ask the question like below.
① T: What is he/she doing? S: He/ She is ...(找程度較好的同學回答這個問題,起到示范作用) 先兩人一組,操練目標語言。再以pair work 的形式,給出對話框架,操練目標語言。 ② pair work
A: What is he/she doing? B:He/She is .... What is he/she doing?
A: He/ She is ....(這次的對話練習,給出圖片提示詞組,再次在句式中鞏固目標詞組,比起直接給出詞組,這樣的提示,增加的難度。在對話練習時,增加糾錯競爭環節,增加學生聽對話的認真度,課堂效率更高,更能注重現在進行時的句式)
4. 操練第三人稱復數句式T: What are they doing? S: They are....
5. Group work:(通過四人小組合作的形式,可以讓學困生在組員的幫助下,更好的參與練習,培養學生的合作意識,又在情景中學會使用現在進行時) A: What are you doing? B: I am.... What about you?
A: I am .... C: What is she/he doing? D: She/ He is .... What are they doing? C: They are... What are they doing? D: They are...
6. Match Work on 1a. Students match the activities with pictures. Then read the phrases together. Step 3 Listening 1. Work on 1a.
T: What are Jenny, John, Dave and Mary doing?Now let’s listen to the tape, find out the right activities from 1a. After listening, answer the questions in sentences. Q: What is Jenny doing A: She is watching TV.
Q: What are Dave and Mary doing?
A: They are listening to a CD. (這一環節改變了課本聽力的要求,更好的鞏固了目標句式。) 2. Work on 2a;
T: Jack and Steve are talking on the phone. What are they doing now? Listen to the conversations and match the answers with the questions. 3. Work on 2b.
Let students read the conversation in 2b first. Then play the recording for them. write down the words in the blanks. (If necessary, press the Pause button to help.) Check the answers in pairs. Step 4 Summary and conclusion
1. 通過展示現在進行時的句子,讓學生通過小組談論,總結今天學到的句式和時態(注重學生小組學習,小組合作意識的培養)T: Look at the sentences on the scree, what can you find? What are you doing? I’m watching TV now. What is she doing? She is washing the dishes.
2. 在同學們小組討論并總結了現在進行時后,一起初步了解現在進行時的基本結構和使用語境。 3. Can you add -ing to the words? (通過三組動詞的展示,讓學習小組討論,發現并先自己總結動詞+ing 的規律)

2.先小組討論 :現在進行時常見的時間標志,再教師總結:now, look, listen, etc. 3.用所給詞的適當形式填空(學案P12) 1. The girls __________(dance) now.
2. Look, he __________(play) computer games. 3. Listen, who________(sing) outside?
4. It’s nine o’clock. The students _________(have) an English class. 5. –What’s the boy doing?
—He ________(swim). He looks happy (在語境中,學習現在進行時) Step 6 Homework:
Read 2d after the tape and sum up three different kinds of present progressive participle.
