Play an English song called 《Auld langsyne》.
(設計意圖:讓學生通過聽這首歌,想起初中三年一起共度時光的老
師及同學,引起他們對初中生活美好的回憶,導入課題。) Step 2 Teaching new words
1. Show some pictures to teach the new words.
2. While teaching them new words ,the teacher use the words in a sentence or in a phrase.
(設計意圖:讓學生通過圖片快速記住單詞,把單詞放在短語和句型中讓學生去掌握,目的是讓他們在用中學。) Step 3 Presentation
1. Show some pictures and ask them share their past memories at junior high school.
2. Present some phrases and the sentence structure: I remember doing……
(設計意圖:通過讓學生們看圖片,引起他們初中生活美好的回憶,在看圖說話的過程中讓學生輕松掌握這一句型結構。) Step 4 Free talk
1. Give the students 3-5 minutes to work in a group of six to talk about the teacher or classmate who they will never forget at junior high school.
2. Give students the following questions:
①. Which teacher or classmate from junior high school that you will never forget?
②. Who is the person ?
③. What did he /she do for you? ④. How did it influence you? ⑤. What will you do to thank him/her?
3. Ask some students to say their unforgettable teacher or classmate. (設計意圖:通過回憶老師和他們的同窗,讓學生懂得對幫助和支持過他們的人心存感激,順勢對他們進行情感教育。 Step 5 Work on 1a
1. Ask students to do it by themselves. 2. Check their answers one by one. 3. Ask them to read these phrases aloud.
(設計意圖:讓學生盡可能多動腦去補充內容,有利于開發學生的思維,鍛煉他們的口語表達能力。) Step 6Work on 1b
1. Play the tape and ask the students to listen and match the memory with the person.
2. Check the answers individually.
3. Ask students to read these sentences together. 4. The teacher explains the difficult sentences to them.
5. Play the tape again and ask the students to answer the following questions:
① What did Mary lose in Grade 7. ② Who helped her find it?
③ What kind of person is Mr. Brown ? Is he strict with his students? ④ What did Peter do to meet Mr. Brown’s standards? 6. Check the answers.
(設計意圖:通過設計兩項聽力任務,由易到難,讓學生聽懂大意,提高學生捕捉信息的能力。) Step 7 Pairwork 1c
1. Give the examples and ask the students to know the differences between memories and experiences.
2. Ask the students to work in pairs to make conversations about their memories and experiences at junior high school according to the examples given.
3. Ask some pairs to act them out.
(設計意圖:讓學生通過例子,自己理解experiences and memories 的區別,這有助于培養他們的觀察能力。讓學生兩人一組互相交流,有利于提高他們的口語表達能力。) Step 8 Summary
Ask students to summarize what they have learned in this period. (設計意圖:鍛煉學生自己歸納信息的能力,讓他們清楚本節課所學的重點內容。) Step 9 Homework
1. Learn the new words and phrases by heart after class.
2. Write a short passage about memories and experiences at junior high
school.
(設計意圖:讓學生鞏固基礎知識,運用目標語言提高學生書面表達能力。)
