Unit 8 3a---Self Check
1. Analysis on the period
This period is the last period of Unit 8.It is about learning to write a recipe with the conjunctions and the structures students have learnt in this unit.
2. Analysis on students
Students are interested in the topic.They are familiar with the dishes talked in this period.In this unit, they have learnt the conjunctions to express steps,such as first,next,then etc.They also learnt to use the verb phrases,such as cut up,mix up etc.
3. Teaching aims
(1) Knowledge aims
To review the conjunctions.
To review “how many””how much”questions and answers. To learn how to write a recipe. (2) Ability aims
To practice students’ speaking and writing skills.
To use the conjunctions and the verb phrases in natural speech. (3) Moral aims
To aware students to cherish food . To inspire students to cooperate with others.
4. Key and difficult points
(1) Use the amount of the ingredients and the verb phrases in writing a recipe.
(2) Describe the cooking steps with the conjunctions in a recipe.

Step 1 Lead-in
1. T: Look! What kind of book is it? Ss: It’s a recipe.
T: Why don’t we make a class recipe? 2. Present the class recipe and begin to make it.

1. T: The first dish I choose is simple. What is it?
2. Present the picture of the tomato and egg soup and have Ss name the food.
3. T: What do we need? How many tomatoes and eggs do we need? 4. T: I forgot the order to make the tomato and egg soup. Can you help me?
5. Ss stick the steps on the blackboard and use the conjunctions to express
the steps. 6. Ss read loudly.
(設(shè)計意圖：復(fù)習(xí)本單元how many和how much句式，同時使學(xué)生知道食材適量使用，做到不浪費(fèi)。學(xué)習(xí)制作第一道簡單菜式，學(xué)生對菜譜制作有初步了解。) Step 3 Dish 2
1. T: There is a classmate from Yunnan. We can make a dish in Yunnan for him.
2. T plays a video about Yunnan Rice Noodles. 3. Ss look at a picture about Yunnan Rice Noodles. T: What do we need to make Yunnan rice noodles? How many eggs do we need?
How much chicken/meat/lettuce do we need?
4. T shows the steps to make Yunnan Rice Noodles and Ss learn. 5. Ss fill in the recipe in 3a.
6. Check the answers and Ss read loudly.

1. T: We have two recipes in the class recipe.
Ss compare two recipes to choose the better one and think about the
reason why it is better.
2. T: If we want to make a recipe,what do we need to write?
3. T and Ss conclude the two points of a recipe: ingredients and process. (設(shè)計意圖：探討制作菜譜時所用的文章結(jié)構(gòu)以及所需包含的內(nèi)容。) Step 5 Group work (Dish 3)
1. T: We have two recipes in the class recipe. But they are normal. Do you want to make any crazy food?

本課時是第八單元的最后一個課時。本單元的話題是討論食物的制作方法，學(xué)習(xí)如何表達(dá)制作步驟。在本課時中要求學(xué)生復(fù)習(xí)本單元內(nèi)容，運(yùn)用表達(dá)順序的副詞、動詞短語、名詞單復(fù)數(shù)等來制作食譜。本班學(xué)生對美食話題很感興趣，部分學(xué)生有烹飪經(jīng)驗，能夠簡單做一兩道菜。同時，學(xué)生已經(jīng)掌握并能夠在語境中使用順序副詞、動詞短語及名詞單復(fù)數(shù)等。通過本節(jié)課的學(xué)習(xí)，不僅讓學(xué)生們熟練運(yùn)用所學(xué)制作菜譜，也讓他們了解用適量的食材做適量的食物，不浪費(fèi)，珍惜食物。
本節(jié)課的優(yōu)點(diǎn)有以下幾個方面：
1. 由菜譜大全導(dǎo)入話題，提議大家一起動手制作一本班級食譜。

班級食譜貫穿始終，在創(chuàng)設(shè)的情境中，由簡單菜式的菜譜到復(fù)雜菜式的菜譜，由小組共同制作菜譜到個人獨(dú)自完成菜譜，從簡到難，層層遞進(jìn)，在一定輸入后再要求學(xué)生輸出。制作班級菜譜分為四個部分，是獨(dú)立的活動但又統(tǒng)一在班級菜譜的情境中。創(chuàng)設(shè)情境，培養(yǎng)學(xué)生的語言運(yùn)用能力，使學(xué)生將所學(xué)知識轉(zhuǎn)化為生活經(jīng)驗，提高學(xué)生的語言運(yùn)用能力，從而提高英語學(xué)科的核心素養(yǎng)。
2. 制作班級菜譜增強(qiáng)了班級凝聚力，一頁頁菜譜匯聚成一本班級菜譜大全，正如班級中點(diǎn)滴的個人力量匯聚成強(qiáng)大的班級力量。
3. 教與學(xué)有機(jī)結(jié)合在一起。在教學(xué)過程中，既有教師靈活的教，也應(yīng)有學(xué)生積極主動地參與，才是真正意義上的教學(xué)。比如，在制作云南米線時，老師先教制作方法，然后要求學(xué)生看著動作一起來說出制作方法。這個活動增強(qiáng)了學(xué)習(xí)趣味性，引發(fā)學(xué)生思考、記憶，體現(xiàn)了學(xué)生的主體性和教師的指導(dǎo)性。這既完成了教學(xué)任務(wù)，學(xué)生在學(xué)到知識同時亦學(xué)得開心有趣。
4. 在小組活動時間，由在牛肉面中加入巧克力這一個例子引入crazy food，激發(fā)學(xué)生學(xué)習(xí)興趣。寫后要求兩名學(xué)生分享小組菜譜，其中一人介紹，一人做。通過動作的展示，幫助其他學(xué)生理解菜譜，再次記憶動詞短語。最后設(shè)計了最瘋狂的小組將得到神秘獎項這一活動，旨在讓學(xué)生在運(yùn)用所學(xué)的基礎(chǔ)上發(fā)散思維，發(fā)展創(chuàng)造力。在這一環(huán)節(jié)中，學(xué)生的表現(xiàn)可圈可點(diǎn)，不僅寫出瘋狂的黑暗料理食譜，同時也有精彩的展示。
5. 小組活動要求共同完成一份菜譜，集思廣益，為個人獨(dú)自完成
菜譜打下基礎(chǔ)。小組活動的神秘獎品是我做的蘭州特色小吃——雞蛋牛奶醪糟。這也是我最喜愛的食物之一。由此導(dǎo)入學(xué)生最喜愛食物的寫作。再次給出范例，幫助學(xué)生更好的完成菜譜。
6. 本節(jié)課中，邊學(xué)課本上的菜譜邊總結(jié)出如何制作菜譜，同時也總結(jié)出所用到的短語。學(xué)生不僅僅是在機(jī)械地學(xué)，也在動腦思考。
7. 本節(jié)課中，整合了教材，將西紅柿雞蛋湯設(shè)計為第一道簡單菜式。在輸入過程中，通過how many/how much的提問來復(fù)習(xí)可數(shù)與不可數(shù)名詞。將所學(xué)的知識點(diǎn)融于整個課堂中，而不是某一部分。
8. 最后一環(huán)節(jié)中，一起誦讀耳熟能詳?shù)墓旁妬砀嬖V學(xué)生珍惜糧食的道理。同時在整節(jié)課中，how many/how much的提問強(qiáng)調(diào)適量食材的使用，讓學(xué)生感知烹飪時如何切實(shí)可行的做到珍惜食物。
9. 本節(jié)課中，靈活應(yīng)用了手機(jī)和多媒體。在學(xué)生完成寫作后，手機(jī)拍照上傳到白板上，使課堂教學(xué)更為便捷，學(xué)生菜譜的展示也是一目了然，方便互相學(xué)習(xí)和互相糾錯。
本節(jié)課的不足有以下幾個方面：
1. 課程內(nèi)容較多，時間緊張。在完成菜譜后，學(xué)生展示的時間比較少。尤其是在crazy food環(huán)節(jié)，很多小組做的都很不錯，但只能選取三組。
2. 最后寫作環(huán)節(jié)，將教師點(diǎn)評換成學(xué)生互評改錯，讓學(xué)生發(fā)現(xiàn)優(yōu)點(diǎn)與錯誤，更能激發(fā)學(xué)生自主學(xué)習(xí)的興趣，體現(xiàn)學(xué)生是課堂的主體。
3. 課堂中評價語言可以更加豐富，可以在與學(xué)生的交流中去評價學(xué)生的表現(xiàn)，給學(xué)生鼓勵，潤物細(xì)無聲。
