本課分析
本課是一節聽說課。本課提供了新的語言知識環境，是本單元知識和內容的擴展。課堂任務應側重培養學生的聽說和語言實踐能力。
1a-1d以學習、鞏固形容詞為主要內容。1c提供給學生一份課程表，其中包括學習和各種活動的安排，復習鞏固了以前學過的科目、時間、日期和活動詞匯。1d是在前面的聽力活動的基礎上的一個口語訓練活動。
本節課的學習貼近學生的學習生活，所含功能句都是日常用語，主要通過聽力訓練和情景對話，鞏固新知，增進學生之間的了解和友情。本課是本單元的第三課時，在整個單元中起著承上啟下的作用。
學情分析
通過對前兩課時的學習，學生對what/ why/ when句型已經有了一定的認識和掌握。大部分學生可以借助其核心句型獲取信息并且就相關的信息進行話題討論。因此，本課教學內容難度不高，學生易于接受。同時這一話題貼近學生實際生活，能夠激發學生濃厚的學習興趣，實際教學中，應該注意面向全體學生，鼓勵學生大膽開口。
教學目標
1. 學生能夠熟練掌握和運用描述學科特點的形容詞及其反義詞。
2. 學生能夠熟練運用what, why, when等特殊疑問句完成有關學科的討論。同時能夠掌握
由第一人稱向第三人稱轉換的方法。
3. 學生能聽懂含有本課重點詞匯和目標語言的聽力材料，并在聽的過程中做到有目的地獲
取有效信息。
教學重點
1. 表示學科特點的形容詞。
2. 運用what, why, when等特殊疑問句進行有關學科的討論。
教學難點
運用所學知識完成聽力任務，學會描述自己喜歡的一門科目并給出理由。
課時安排 1課時
教學方法
情境交際法、小組合作探究法、自主學習與合作學習相結合。
教學過程
Step 1. Revision
Review some words( like school subjects and 7 days in a week),some sentences we learned before.
1. Say English words according to the Chinese meanings.
2. Look the pictures and say school subjects. 3. 7 days in a week. (from Monday to Sunday) 4. Translate the Chinese into English.
(設計意圖：回顧之前學習過的與本課內容相關的單詞與句子，為本課的新知學習做鋪墊。)
Step 2. Presentation.
1. Ask Ss to read the description words in 1a.
2. Say the Chinese meanings of these description words.
3. Finish 1a. Match the words on the left with their opposites on the right. 4. Check the answers.
(設計意圖：通過齊讀，說出漢語意思等形式來學習描述學科特點的形容詞，充分發揮學生的自主學習能力。學習內容貼近生活，學生會很容易掌握重點詞匯。)
Step 3. Listen to 1b and 1c.
1. Play the recording for the first time. Ss check the words they hear in 1a. 2. Check the answers in 1b.
3. Look at 1c and teach Ss how to see a schedule. Remind Ss to pay attention to the activities
and the time.
4. Play the recording for the second and third time. Ask Ss to circle the classes David talks
about.
5. Check the answers in 1c.
(設計意圖：本步驟中難點是1c. 通過師生一起瀏覽課程表，教師詢問學生課程表中有幾天？每天有幾節課？每天都有什么課？等問題，達到學生會看并看懂課程表的目的，這樣就降低了此部分聽力的難度。通過聽的方式輸入本課功能句，學習句型，達成知識目標。)
Step 4. Pair work: work on 1d.
1. Work in pairs. Talk about David’s favorite subject. Fill in the blanks. 2. Check the answers.
(設計意圖：讓學生動筆寫一寫以達到對聽力內容的加深，其次，通過同桌兩人做對話練習以達到對聽力內容復述的效果。)
Step 5. Group work.
1. Work in groups of four and make a new conversation.
For example:
A: What’s your favorite subject? B: My favorite subject is science. A: Why do you like science? B: Because it’s fun. A: When is the class? B: It’s on Wednesday.
C: What’s B’s favorite subject? D: B’s favorite subject is science.
C: Why does B like science? D: Because it’s fun. C: When is the class? D: It’s on Wednesday.
2. Role-play the conversation. Ask some groups to act their conversations out in front of the
class.
(設計意圖:這是一個鞏固性的訓練活動，要求學生能運用目標語進行真實的交際。同時，在活動的過程中，學生又練習了人稱的轉換。學生活動中，教師應四處走動，向學生提供幫助。)
Step 6. Exercises. Ss do some exercises.
(設計意圖：再次復習鞏固本節課所學語言知識。)
