一、整體設計思路：發明創造對初中生來講既神秘又有吸引力。本節課以發明為主題，通過
視頻、圖片、聽力材料等，讓學生了解歷史上的重大發明對人類生活的影響，從中獲取大量偉大發明的信息，激發學生參與討論的興致和進行發明創造的愿望。教師可以引導學生以小組活動的形式介紹他們認為最偉大的發明，創意設計網頁并在課堂展示。最后進行班級評選，對優勝者進行獎勵。
二、教材分析：本節課以”Great Inventions”為主線，通過一系列圖片、視頻、思維導圖等，
讓學生對重大發明在人類生活中影響的話題產生興趣，從而激發學生參與的熱情。本單元通過托尼和爸爸的對話很自然地導入一般將來時的被動語態，教師可以借助學生對數碼產品的興趣，引導學生分享自己在實際生活中對數碼產品的了解和應用，從而激發學生的學習興趣。 三、學情分析：九年級的學生經過了兩年多時間的學習，積累了一些英語語言知識，如單詞、
詞組、句型等，具備一定的聽、說、讀、寫的能力。而本班學生以中層為主，有一定英語的基礎，個性比較活躍。課堂上，學生基本能聽懂老師的指令，大部分學生能參與課堂活動，但學習的主動性與自覺性不足，不能大膽、大方地表達自己的想法。根據中學生的心理特點，教師需通過競賽、鼓勵等方式調動其參與課堂活動的積極性，引導學生積極參與同伴討論、小組競賽等課堂活動，完成本節課學習任務。 四、教學目標：
1、 語言知識：學習有關發明創造的的詞匯與句型； 2、 語言技能：
1） 能夠聽懂談論發明及其應用的對話；
2） 能夠談論已有的發明創造給人類生活帶來的變化；
3） 能夠口頭講述發明創造的發展，提出自己的意見，并與同學交流；
3、 情感態度：對現有的發明提出自己的意見，并與同學交流；教育學生在嘗試新科技
產品的同時，要尊重并保留中國的傳統文化產品。
4、 學習策略：能夠明確自己在小組活動中的責任和分工， 善于傾聽別人的意見，與
同學互相學習。
五、教學重難點：本節課學習的重點為有關發明創造的相關詞組、句型，難點是能根據已有
的知識，講述發明創造對人類生活帶來的變化。

Step One: Warming up
1. To make students get into the habit of reading. 2. As Grade Nine students, they should practice more passages besides words.
