Ask the Ss to recite some useful words and expressions. Step II Lead-in
Take Ss back to primitive society using time machine. Ask the Ss to look at the picture in the PPT, then try to describe what are these early people are doing. And imagine what their life was like. Ask Ss what they will prepare for a feast and imagine in primitive society how they prepare. Step III Reading
Play the tape for the Ss to listen. At the same time, the students are asked to finish the
following tasks:

Women’s tasks: affectionate ( to group ), co-operative ( cooking), caring
( providing food ) , patient ( collecting food), skilful (cooking), individual ( collecting nuts and fruits).
