一、教材分析：
本單元主要學(xué)習(xí)了一些簡單形容詞比較級例如taller, shorter, younger, older, stronger, bigger, heavier, longer等。這些形容詞已經(jīng)基本接觸過，在這里進(jìn)一步的學(xué)習(xí)兩個事物如何進(jìn)行比較，以及形容詞比較級的表示法，特別記住一些比較特殊的表示法。本單元的中心話題是詢問身邊的人或事物的年齡、身高、重量及長度并做比較。本課時主要是涉及自然博物館中不同種類恐龍的比較，比較他們的身高，引出比較他們的年齡，長度。How tall is it? How old is it? How long is it.
二、學(xué)生特征分析
六年級英語在小學(xué)英語教學(xué)中起著承上啟下的作用。六的學(xué)生大概處在十二三歲左右，這個階段的兒童容易為一些新奇刺激的事物所吸引。在記憶方面，這個年齡段的孩子的有意識記逐漸占據(jù)主導(dǎo)地位，即使是抽象材料也能花功夫努力記住，并能自覺檢查記憶的效果。他們記憶發(fā)展的另一特點(diǎn)是從機(jī)械識記向意義識記發(fā)展。這個階段兒童思維發(fā)展開始從具體形象思維向抽象邏輯思維過渡，但是他們的抽象邏輯思維在很大程度上仍然是直接與感性經(jīng)驗(yàn)相聯(lián)系，仍有很大的不自覺性和具體形象性。所以語法的講解在這個階段會比較困難，抽象的概念很難被他們接受，教學(xué)中我注重通過詞句的反復(fù)訓(xùn)練和感知來習(xí)得語言的綜合運(yùn)用能力。
三、教學(xué)目標(biāo)（知識，技能，情感態(tài)度）
知識與能力：
1、能聽懂、會說單詞：hall, meter/metre ,than, both
2. 能聽懂、會說句子How tall is it? Maybe 4 meters. That’s the tallest dinosaur in this hall. It’s taller than both of us together .并能在情景中運(yùn)用。
2.能聽懂Let’s try，并完成任務(wù)。
過程與方法：
學(xué)生能在合作交流中使用新語言進(jìn)行溝通
情感與價值觀：
培養(yǎng)學(xué)生良好的英語學(xué)習(xí)習(xí)慣。
了解基本的計(jì)量單位的運(yùn)用
