We have talked about the beginning and the development of the story. From the development, what do you think of power, money or fame? Can they make people completely happy? Ss: No.
Then what can make people really happy? Is the shirt of a happy man?
It’s time for us to know the ending of the story.
Before the real ending is shown to you, we’ll talk about the possible endings.
Of course, every student can have your own ideas. Let’s read the possible endings in 1a. (預設評價:

From the sentences, we know the general found the happy man. Now let’s focus on the details of the ending.
Here are some questions, read them together.
Though they are long questions, I think you just focus on When? What? Why?

聽前預測:讓學生猜測為什么這個poor man那么快樂,通過想象來給出符合邏輯的回答,既鍛煉了學生的思維品質,同時也能練習口語表達。 同時給出長難句型,為學生后面的聽力掃清障礙。
通過第一遍聽力,讓學生大致了解文章信息。
在第二遍聽力前強調學生可以將長問句概括為When,
What, Why問句,以幫助學生更好地理解問題。

1. Read and imitate
Since we have known the ending of the story, I need you to read it as well as the tape. First of all, let’s read after the tape to imitate. Second, it’s your turn to read it.
