本單元的中心話題是人類當(dāng)今面對(duì)的環(huán)境問題,主要探討了“全球變暖”和“節(jié)約能源”等方面的問題。而Using Language這一課時(shí)是在前面Reading部分學(xué)生已經(jīng)初步了解了global warming的現(xiàn)象、原因以及影響的基礎(chǔ)上,通過歐陽光給Earth Care寫信就What can we do about global warming?這一問題請(qǐng)求幫助和Earth Care提供的具體措施,讓學(xué)生討論并提出更多的建議,為后面的海報(bào)設(shè)計(jì)和寫作提供充分的材料。也讓他們意識(shí)到環(huán)境問題,人人有責(zé)。
二、教學(xué)目標(biāo)
語言目標(biāo):掌握詞匯表中的單詞和短語;理解兩封信的內(nèi)容。 技能目標(biāo):了解掌握書信類文章的結(jié)構(gòu)特點(diǎn)和閱讀技巧。
培養(yǎng)在書信類文章中尋找信息的能力。 了解海報(bào)的制作

三、學(xué)習(xí)者特征分析
本班學(xué)生經(jīng)過兩年的高中學(xué)習(xí),已具備一定的語言基礎(chǔ),學(xué)習(xí)積極性較高,參與性較強(qiáng)。課前翻轉(zhuǎn)任務(wù)有二:1.觀看記錄片an inconvenient truth,更多地了解global warming。2.觀看微課,結(jié)合記錄片內(nèi)容制作海報(bào)(小組合作)。這兩項(xiàng)作業(yè)在課前都完成得不錯(cuò)。為課堂學(xué)習(xí)節(jié)省了時(shí)間并提供了素材。

I think you must have something to say. (To learn about the knowledge of global warming is important. To learn how to cut down on usage of energy and reduce the carbon emissions is important. But the most important is to turn the knowledge into action, to change some familiar patterns or habits, to do what we can do and to influence people around us.) But how?
2. List some ways to be an educator. (As a student, maybe making posters is an easy but efficient way to make our voice heard.)
