教師通過游戲“Yes/No”與學生互動,激活課堂。 T:I’ll show you some pictures.If you think it’s right,you can say “Yes”.If you think it’s wrong,you can say “No”. (設計意圖:呈現Zoom媽媽的連衣裙,出示班上學生的頭像讓他們判斷男生是否能穿連衣裙,打造了輕松活潑的課堂氣氛。最后呈現Zoom的頭像,讓學生判斷Zoom是否適合穿連衣裙,為導入新課做鋪墊。) 2. 解讀封面

(設計意圖:本環節將圖片順序打亂,圖2、3除外。學生認真觀察圖片,根據教師的引導,逐漸完成故事拼圖,推理故事情節。不僅激活學生語言,挖掘語言儲備,還突破了本課的重點,使學生理解并學會運用了本課的生詞“beautiful”。) Step2 While-reading
Read and answer:Who is beautiful? (設計意圖:利用問題“Who is beautiful?”來貫穿整個故事,文中出現了三次“beautiful”,分別表達了三層含義。1.媽媽長得很漂亮;2.因為Zoom的媽媽是演員,所以媽媽的裙子很漂亮;3.媽媽愛Zoom,所以媽媽認為穿裙子的Zoom很漂亮。通過三層不同含義,將故事分為三個部分。) 1.Page1、2
beautiful—Zoom’s mum is beautiful!
(1) T:Zoom’s mum is beautiful! How do you know that? (2) 創設情境,學生分角色朗讀。
(設計意圖:beautiful的第一層含義是媽媽長得很漂亮,通過第一部分的學習,學生能理解第一層含義,并有感情地進行分角色朗讀表演。) 2.Page3—5
Beautiful—The dress is beautiful! (1) 引導學生描述自己的媽媽。
T:My mum is tall,and yours?My mum has big eyes,and yours? My mum has a white dress,and yours?My mum is a teacher,and yours? (2) 理解并正確朗讀actress。
T:What about Zoom’s mum?Is she a teacher? S6:No.She’s an actress. T: Do you know “actress”? a.出示女演員的照片。
T:She can sing/dance/dub/fly. They can do any emotion. b.區分actress和actor。

(設計意圖:beautiful的第二層含義是因為Zoom的媽媽是演員,所以媽媽的裙子很漂亮。學生并不能準確地找到答案,因此通過一系列的問題,幫助學生在閱讀過程中整合重要信息,引導學生理解并感受beautiful的第二層含義。在突破本課重點的過程中,使學生理解并學會運用了本課的生詞“actress”。最后再有感情地進行分角色朗讀表演。) 3.Page7

(設計意圖:情感體驗。beautiful的第三層含義是媽媽愛Zoom,所以媽媽認為穿裙子的Zoom很漂亮。學生的直觀感受是Zoom不漂亮,為什么Zoom的媽媽認為Zoom很漂亮?在教學的過程中引導學生體會,因為Zoom的媽媽愛Zoom,所以Zoom在他媽媽的心中是最漂亮的。) 4. Read the story again.
(設計意圖:學生讀懂整個故事后,自主進行閱讀,使學生的情感能在閱讀中表達出來。)

3.Write a poem for the people you love.
(1) T:Zoom’s mum loves Zoom.Does Zoom loves his mum?Why? S7:Because his mum is beautiful. S8:Because his mum is an actress. S9:Because his mum loves him.
(2) T:Zoom loves his mum.So he wants to write a poem for his mum.Can you help him?
