教學(xué)目標(biāo)： 
1.Learning objectives: (1) Learn to talk about how to get to places. 
(2) Be able to use special questions “how, how long, how far” proficiently. 
(3) Be able to use verb phrases and prepositional phrases correctly, for example, take the bus,by bus,on the bus. 
2. Ability aims: To improve the students listening and speaking abilities. 3. Emotion aims: Teach the students to obey the traffic rules. 學(xué)情分析： 
The students in Grade Seven don't have much knowledge about English. They don't have a big vocabulary. I need to improve their listening and speaking abilities. I help them to talk about how to get to places. 重點(diǎn)難點(diǎn)： 
Key points: Be able to use special questions about “how” correctly. 
Difficult points: Be able to distinguish between “how long” and “how far”. 教學(xué)過程： 
Step 1   Greetings Step 2     Lead-in 
Let the students to watch a video, and talk about how to get to places.  Watch a video: Let’s Travel T: What is the video about? Ss: It’s about transportation.  
T: Can you tell me how to get to school?  S1: I get to school on foot. S2: I get to school by bus. S3: ... 
T: OK, very good. Today we'll learn Unit 3 How do you get to school?. Step 3   Readlearning objectives 
T: First, readlearning objectives. Who can? S: ... 
T:Now let’s look at some pictures of different transportations. Listen to the sound, and tell us what transportation. Listen carefully. S: train, car, boat, plane…  
T: Good! And how do you get to school? S: I get to school by bus. Step 4 Pair work 
Practice the conversations. 
T: Now look at the picture and make conversations with your partners. Give you two minutes. (Students practice in pairs.)

                            After practicing, let’s look at 1b, listen and write the numbers next to the correct students in the picture. Before listening, you should look at the pictures and sentences carefully. Step 7 Pair work and practice 
T: Look at the pictures and tell me verb phrases and prepositional phrases about transportation. Ss: take the bus, take the subway… 
T:You can change verb phrases into prepositional phrases. For example, “take the bus”, you can also say “by bus” or “on the bus”. 
(Distinguish betweenverb phrases and prepositional phrases.) Ask and answer, practice two sentences in the same meaning. Step 8 Game—Challenge Your Eyes Review the numbers.
