教 材 分 析 該文章來自21世紀報，是一篇關于“從失敗中獲得成功”的文章。文章沿著“作者對于失敗的態度的變化”而發展，從“害怕失敗”到“勇敢面對失敗，把失敗當作良師益友”，在這節課上，先對文章內容進行解讀，再進行課內討論，讓學生們各抒己見，從而明白“我們要學會從失敗中獲得成功”。
學 情 分 析 1.已有知識：學生通過以往的學習，已經大概掌握了如何分析文章的結構。
2.預測問題：弄清楚部分長難句，并有邏輯性地表達自己的觀點的能力有待加強。
3.學習特點：大部分學生能適應全英文教學，思維較活躍；英語輸出能力一般。

b.After losing the NBA finals, James gave Durant a hug, showing his respect for Durant 's performance. 通過兩張圖片，讓學生分辨 a bad loser or a happy loser, 然后，提問學生如何成為a happy loser,從而引出文章標題：Make success from failure.

Task 1 : Fast reading

通過4個閱讀任務，幫學生對文章中4個較難的句子進行解讀，分別使用了①單項選擇題的形式，②難句化簡，③尋找同義句的方法。
