Unit 5 What does he do?
教學內(nèi)容:人教版六年級上冊Unit 5 What does he do? 教學目標: 一、認知目標:
1、能正確聽、說、讀、寫職業(yè)類單詞:coach, pilot, scientist, police officer 2、能正確使用句型:What does he/she do? He’s/ She’s a coach/ pilot/ scientist/ police officer.
二、能力目標:
1.通過閱讀掌握故事的關鍵信息,并能掌握更多關于職業(yè)的知識。 2.學生會主動提問,大膽提問,積極思考。 三、情感目標:
1. 引導學生去體會:職業(yè)沒有高低貴賤之分,每種職業(yè)都值得我們尊敬。
2. 通過小組協(xié)作活動,培養(yǎng)學生合作學習的意識、競爭參與意識和研究探索的精神,從而調(diào)動學生的積極性,激發(fā)學生對英語學習的興趣。
教學重點:
正確掌握句型What does he/she do? He’s/ She’s a coach/ pilot/ scientist/ police officer. 教學難點:
運用句型“What does he/she do? He’s/ She’s a „”去詢問同伴長大后將從事的職業(yè)。
教學方法:活動、游戲、交際教學法 教具準備:PPT,小組討論資料 教學過程:
Step 1: warming up (熱身活動)
Sing the song‘job people in my town’ to warm up.師生齊唱‘job people in my town’。(設計意圖:通過唱歌曲來活躍課堂氣氛,并引出今天的主題:職業(yè),歌曲中也談到很多職業(yè),進而擴充本課的職業(yè)名稱。) Step 2: lead- in(導入)
老師和學生一起閱讀故事“our jobs”來了解幾種常見的職業(yè)。(設計意圖:通過學生喜愛的故事來引出今天要學的內(nèi)容,牢牢吸引學生的注意力)T: Do you like stories? Today we will enjoy a story: Our jobs, by Maria Cara. Step 3: presentation (新課呈現(xiàn))

T: The woman says: “I can drive.” Do you know her job? What’s her job? What does she do?
Ss: She is a driver.
T: Is she a taxi driver? Is she a car driver? Ss: No, she isn’t. she is a bus driver.

T: The man says: “ I can cook.” What does he do? Ss: He is a cook.
T: Yes, he is a cook. We can also say he is a chef.

T: The woman says: “I can sing.” Can you guess her job? Ss: She is a singer.
T: Can you fill in the blanks?
Ss: I am a singer. I sing for people. I sing on a stage.

5.鞏固剛才學習的職業(yè)詞匯.Practice the words we learnt just now. Step 4: New Lesson (新課教授)
T: 你們還知道哪些其他職業(yè)嗎?Do you know any other jobs?

What does he do? He is a pilot. 操練方式:pilot自然拼讀法操練,句子小組互相問答。第1、2、3組問,第4、5、6組回答,然后交換。

What does he do? He is a coach. 操練方式:coach自然拼讀法操練,句子小組互相問答。第1、3、5組問,第2、4、6組回答,然后交換。

男生女生互相問答。男生問,女生回答,然后交換。 Step 5: Activities & consolidation (鞏固活動)
1. 玩一個游戲“快速反應”來鞏固今天學到的單詞和句型。Play a game: ‘quick response’ to practice the words and sentences.
2. 玩游戲 “掃雷”來鞏固今天學到的職業(yè)的單詞及以前學過的職業(yè)類單詞。 Play another game: ‘mine sweeping’ to practice the words we learnt today and other words about job we learnt before
3. 回歸課本:打開課本第49和第50頁,齊讀今天所學的職業(yè)類詞匯。Students open their books and read the words we learnt today together. Step 6: Extension and practice (拓展練習)
1. 播放視頻故事“What will you be when you grow up?”給學生一個示范:如何詢問別人將來從事的職業(yè)以及回答,為下一個環(huán)節(jié)做鋪墊。Show a video “What will you be when you grow up?”to students, prepare for next part. 2. 向?qū)W生介紹更多的職業(yè)類詞匯,為下一個環(huán)節(jié)做鋪墊。Show more jobs to students, prepare for next part.

3. 讓學生同伴之間互相詢問將來從事的職業(yè)并回答。Let students ask and answer partner’s job in the future.

Step 7: Emotional education (情感教育)
老師向?qū)W生展示幾種職業(yè)的圖片,讓學生討論:什么是好工作?什么是不好的工作?從而讓學生體會到職業(yè)沒有高低貴賤之分,每種職業(yè)都值得我們尊敬。。Teacher shows some pictures of jobs, and ask students to discuss in group: What is good job? What is bad job? So students can understand each kind of job is good, we should respect all the people who work. Step 8: Summary (總結(jié))
學生齊讀黑板上的單詞和句子來總結(jié)本節(jié)課所學的單詞和句型。

1.抄寫今天所學的單詞和句子4遍,并背誦這些單詞和句子。(必做)Write down these words and sentences on your copy book 4 times and recite: pilot, coach, police officer, scientist. What does he do? He’s a pilot. What does she do? She’s a police officer. (have to do)
2. 詢問你的朋友或同學長大后將從事什么職業(yè)。(選做)Ask your friends or classmates what jobs they will be when they grow up. (choose to do) (設計意圖:作業(yè)分層布置,能照顧到不同層次學生的需求。) 板書設計:

教學反思:
本節(jié)課是第五單元的第二課時,教學內(nèi)容是有關職業(yè)的單詞和句型。在本節(jié)課中,我注重激發(fā)學生的學習興趣,運用故事來教詞匯,讓學生在句子和篇章中學單詞,最后能用本節(jié)課所學的知識作對話練習,即詢問他人長大后將從事什么職業(yè)并會做出正確回答。 這一節(jié)課下來我自己感覺教學過程很順利,師生間配合也還默契。下面是我對這節(jié)課的反思。
首先,我用故事來教詞匯,讓學生既學會了職業(yè)類詞匯,也讓學生知道他/她在哪里工作,他/她的具體職責是什么。同時增加了學習的趣味性。
其次,我上課的流程快,不拖拉,時間安排得當,操練的方式豐富,游戲設計新穎,學生們都積極踴躍樂于加入其中。
最后,我用一個故事的視頻“長大后你將從事什么職業(yè)”給學生一個示范知道如何詢問和表達長大后自己想從事何種職業(yè)。同時,讓學生對英語故事產(chǎn)生興趣,激發(fā)學生課后自己去閱讀英語故事。
當然這節(jié)課也反映出了我存在的問題。
第一、時間的把握不夠好,出現(xiàn)了前松后緊的現(xiàn)象。
第二、職業(yè)類詞匯較多,尤其是后來擴充的職業(yè)類詞匯較難,學生一節(jié)課掌握不夠好。 第三、提問學生的面不夠廣,整節(jié)課只點了一半的學生回答問題,應該讓更多的學生有機會回答問題或上臺展示。
通過這次課,我深深地感受到,英語故事在英語教學中真的很重要,效果也很明顯。長期堅持下來,學生的閱讀能力一定會提高,詞匯量也自然增加。通過這次課之后,我對英語教學又有了進一步的了解,作為教師要不斷的學習不斷的完善自己,才能取得更大的進步。
